Even though I've already unlocked my slot after 6 professions and am waiting for Pub 10 to come out so I can become a Jedi, I do not think I will continue playing.
This is very hypocritical of me but playing a BH for months i've hated the Jedi in this game and how imbalanced they are. Being able to heal states on ground, force run away, res themselves, block 85%, there is no one a jedi can't beat except another Jedi.
The game has curved from fun to disaster, and all of my friends have quit this game. I now play the game alone, but I believe my time on this game is coming to an end considering how messed up this game is and how many jedi there are. My Jedi profession would not have been unique anyway considering each server has close to 500 Jedi.
Well, that is what happens when you have SOE.

I can imagine.. plus you must be exhausted from mastering 6 professions. By the way why dont you go troll in another forum.. this forum is to make Jedi a better more playable class.

Only melee can beat Jedi, and jedi will soon get block against Jedi.
/gg
Hmm.. I must be exhausted? I've been playing since launch, and i'm sorry that I don't have the time to grind 20+ professions. I play when I can and after I do all of my AP homework. Keeping a 4.4 GPA is harder than you think, son...

Any jedi could... take snow cake, or crispic, and pound away with your 1H saber. Doesn't take a genius to figure that out.
If you're having trouble... force run away.

Jedi cant beat a SKILLED defense stacker. I mention skilled, because there are a bunch of template wannabes, who read in a forum about an uberleet template that they can use to pwn all. You can see a bunch of them on Test Center 2, asking which is the best professions to beat everyone in PvP. Bunch of useless tools, the whole lot of them. But a highly experienced Defense Stacker can punish even a couple jedi. I have seen it. Most ofthe people have quit because they are LAZY. They can't be bothered learning the things they need to do to win. They want all the work done for them. "I want to pwn, make it easier!" 99% of the whiners on both sides, jedi and non-jedi need to get out of the forums, and learn to play the game effectively. I have fought a TKM, who had no idea that intimidate was very good. the problem is, its too easy to grind these professions with 80% armor, and 2500+ buffs. These guys get their profession with no risks, and end up having 0 skills. Too many noob players starting up now, want to be leet right away, but can't be bothered trying to learn their profession. I hope they all do leave. They are turning the forums and the game into a joke.
And I know for sure that Valcyn server does not have 500 jedi, I have a list of about 100, and rarely see new ones anymore. Best not to quote numbers unless you really know.
Absolutely boggles my mind the number of players who have all the answers after mere days of reading all the forums.

Hell, I'll admit that I hate the jedi as much as the next person... I just don't b1tch about it (I'll also admit that it's part envy and part spite for what SOE has made them into)...
But to say they are unbeatable? Meh - I've found them to only be a real threat when they drag along their slaves (bodyguards) to protect them...
I'm also NOT naive enough to think that I SHOULD be able to solo a jedi... which is why I bring a mob of 2- 3 or even more angry villagers to help murder my jedi target... seems to work just fine for me, I have a decent success rate vs them.
But it's stupid to think that a single character should be able to beat a fully trained jedi (padawans are pretty easy to kill if you're not ranged... even ranged professions do decent vs some padawans if the hunter is competent).
I hate the way they became jedi - but the fact is they had the nerve (arguably the stupidity as well) to grind for a LONG time to get where they are... thus, they deserve to be somewhat powerful.
I consider forcing a jedi to force run away with his tail tucked between his legs to be a victory, by the way -- it makes them look pathetic and weak - thus a victory... you don't necessarily need to drop a jedi dead to ruin his day -- chasing him for hours on end with an angry mob is surprisingly effective

By the way, complaining with such a whiney tone about the jedi looks so pathetic... you want to kill a jedi? Fine.. take our head out of your ass and realize only very very very very very few people can do it alone... smarten up, rent a brain and go kill a jedi by thinking it through.... this game is boring enough as it is, the only fun I get these days is spending a good hour thinking up how to eliminate my target (this includes backup plans to deal with possible unforseen/unexpected events).... think of ways to stop the jedi and then go do it.... it really isn't all that hard..
But if you just want a hotkey that will kill a jedi like you do everyone else in pvp (i.e. use stun baton and spam scatter hit... <yawn>
, then you're not going to find much success.
From my experience many of even the strongest jedi playersaren't all that bright and are easy to fool/lure into a trap... these people have keen survival instincts (fight or flight, etc), but their scope of vision is narrow and they are prone to making stupid mistakes either because they are over cautious (young jedi) or too ambitious (get too cockey and it costs them).
Ironically I have the most fun in the game trying to deal with jedi...
Kill more rancors? Yawn.
Nightsisters? Yawn
"Uber loot" Yawn
Corvette? Yawn
Plan a strategy with a group of friends how to track, trap and kill my powerful jedi target? Hell ya that's fun... even when we fail, the thrill of it all is significantly more fun than fighting the same damn monster for the billionth time.
It fun to see how my target adapts to our attack... when he runs I don't get mad, I smile... now I begin planning how to deal with him when I track him down again in a few minutes.... rather than spending an hour or two in game mashing my weapon against the same bloody monster over and over again, I chase my prey until he either finally logs out for good (and I am a PATIENT individual,
) or I catch up to him and either he dies or we do... nothing is more exciting than that.
Frankly, there's nothing else to do in this otherwise very boring game.
