Thread: Jedi Elder...do I deserve it?

I have a few FS boxes to go, but I will finish, do the Paddy Trials, unlock and have my Novice Lightsaber box before the 15th, which will entitle me to Jedi Elder status according to everything I have read. I have never played a Jedi, but I have been working towards it slowly and painfully for 2 years now. I have been doing the FS grind for almost a full year...I grind slow and don't get to play much thanks to life, school, the Army, and deployments. I will have my one Jedi box and will be considered an Elder. What do you all think about this? Be honest, be brutal, be supportive if you like...I don't care, I didn't code the game.

Dude, anyone whos stuck with the game more than a year deserves a golden handshake, never mind a Elder title.

Simple. Your in the army hell yea you deserve it man. If you were some little 14 year old who doest do jack sh*t then I would would say no. I am a full temp jedi but it really doest matter you have things to do in life and you still did the FS grind, I would have to say you deserve your robes and glowie. And I ship out for boot camp this summer hehe. Semper Fi!

Honestly at this point its all irrelovent and I could really care less but increasing my post count is always nice. This game is done in April 06, there will either be a new Combat Downgrade orSwg will be on PS3 and Star Wars Galaxies 2 mmowill be released soon after to compete withStar Trek Online. The Star Wars name/franchise is way too big of a money maker to not consider the possibilty of a new mmo already in the works or plans for one, don't be fooled George knows this.

Yeah, and I'll keep sticking around...this is the only game I play. Through the end of college, withmy wife and four kids tugging me off the computer, all through flightschool, and now stuck here in Korea...I keep coming back to play SWG for one reason or another. There's always something I haven't seen or done yet, people I haven't met are countless. Oh, and bravo to the new Marine!

Doesn't really bother me at all. You'll be a Jedi on the 15th and that's the only milestone they laid out to determine who would receive the rewards.
In my mind, people who haven't played through the entirety of the jedi system (finished a template, dealt with BH visits, assembled a good saber with a great deal of effort, et cetera) aren't really "elder" anythings, but it doesn't really harm me if you get the spiffy robe and/or crystal. You put in your time and actually unlocked the character; enjoy whatever they give you.

Coming from a pre-9 jedi. I dont think you should qualify for elder.
I think elder title shoudl come after being fully templated for 6 months.

LOL! That's the best thing I've heard yet.
To be honest, I agree with the third poster. If you put in two years of play, that means you've seen it all. I think you deserve at least the Elder title, because when it comes to playing the game, you are an elder. Anyone who makes it through the FS grind, and takes as long as I did (a year), deserves it aswell

HOOAAHH !!!!!(he knows what i mean)you deserve that title hun im currently at FORT SAM HOUSTON right now going through AIT and i unlocked before i left for basic and finally got back on a computer =)

Anyone who has worked hard and done the grinding just to get a Jedi, especially now when the know what this game is becomng, deserves the Elder Title. And with an attitude like yours, sir, you deserve to be called a Jedi Elder more so than some pre-patch 9 Jedi.
