What do you need a dark holocron for? I want to become a dark jedi so does that mean i need to master the skillz it gives me to do that? Once i master those skillz do i need to become reb to become padawan then turn dark?

... you don't have to use sith holocrons... you make the choice when you become a padawan, not before.. so unlock your FSCS first

Everyone starts out as a light-side Jedi Initiate aligned with the rebellion.

After mastering your first set of skill trees, you may choose to go to the dark-side.

The Jedi and Sith Holocrons will both tell you the same skills to master.

after jedi initiate you move on to padawan...but like the dev stated "many of you will not reach padawan"

Yes, you're right. Imp characters can unlock the slot, just like anyone else, but when the Jedi is created, they're automatically rebellion-alligned to start.
