It is definitely sufficient for BH attacks. I dropped Force Armor about 2 weeks ago and have successfully killed every BH that has hunted me with the exception to one and it was a draw. I could not out damage his heals and he could not kill me.
I had the same concerns when debating on dropping Force Armor for 4440 Defender. I spoke to a Jedi via PM here on the forums and asked him basically the same questions. He also did not have any problems handling BH attacks. I had 4 million Jedi xp banked and decided to give it a try and if I did not like it, I could easily grind back enough xp to switch back.
The morning that I changed templates I did some really brief testing before the servers shut down.
I had a friendof mine hit me with the same attack ( Head hit I thinkit was )
With ForceArmor on: 380 pts damage
With4440 Defender:497 pts damage
I think you will pleased with either of the 2 templates. I just prefer only using force when I attack vs losing force when I attack and each time I get hit. I hope this helps you make a decision.
Thanks for the input. Do you have any stats on how much force was lost when using force armor?
So like 380 pts (health) + 117 pts (force) ?
Thanks

Yes (sorry, I forgot the answer), The second choice (Mls, Def 4440, Enhancer 3002, Healer 4000) is the best. But I suggest you Def 4404
I would choose Aura over Valor personally. In fact i just dropped Force Armor for 4440 Defender and could not be happier. The Force cost associated with Force Armor became an issue for me.
Just my 2 cents.
I thought this would also be an issue for me. It is not. I can turn it off at will.
The good thing about Defender 44xx is the inate armor bonus for mitigation. I prefer xx44 for prevention over mitigation.
The force cost with Armor isn't an issue since /channel does a great job in recovering force. I have more issues with BUGGs which cause:
- speed to bug
- Action costs to mysteriosly increase a ten fold
- force costs to do the same as previously mentioned action costs
- attacks do not calculate damage
- States do not apply
- hitting target although it's not calculated as a hit
- lag
- server lag
- PvE broken at times
- Broken stats for Rodians
- Inability to regen stats unless using buffs, food, drink, spice WHILE sitting down
- loot not availble to support Jedi
- Jedi not able to gain loot for sabers
- Loot only availble to AFK campers at POI's
- Excesive down time and poor server maintenence
- refreshing GUI settings and not saving
- flooding by SOE's servers
- lack of Q&A
- inability to maintain integrity and continuity of the Starwars universe.

I did do some brief testing on the cost of Force Armor.I did look through some of my notes (hopefully these notes are in reference to FA) andI showthat taking 756 pts of damage reduced my Force pool by approx 46 force pts. If this is accurate, force armor costs approx. 6% of the damage taken. Let me try and test this again with a friend that has force armorto verify if what I had written down is correct and I will update this info as soon as I can.
If anyone else with Force Armor could do some testing, it would be very helpful also.
Without force armor I would not be able to tank DJMs with my template. They hit me for 5700 dmg!!!
def 0044, enh x4xx, healer 4xxx
