Thread: BH Terms bugged!!!

Thats right, there must be a problem. I was never told in forums or ingame that jedi could be hunted multiple times. On saturday, Sept 10th, I was enjoying a very good spin group. Me an a few other jedi were there. AN a bh came an killed a guildie jedi. About an hour later, one came an killed me, using paralyze over an over so i could even do ANYTHING (which is completly overpowered) so i died....offcourse. Now about an hour later, another bh came an killed my friend again. this was messed up, nobody understood why, because there was no way he could have gotten all the vis back again. well, about 20 minutes later, THE SAME bh came an killed me, again exploiting paralyze an i could do nothing. We both should have been off the terms since then, (now i have pvp'd some so now im expecting the bh's). But there must be some mistake. I have talked to other jedi who have experienced the same issue. Since then my same guilde friend has lost to 4 bh's in the last 2 days an he never pvp'ed around playuers or did anything to his knowledge to generate vis.

Can anyone give me some answers???? Or is it SOE doing their normal crap?

....Will SWG ever be rid of bugs? The world may never know.

As I understand it. It used to be possible to create enough vis to remain on the boards a few times.

Not sure if that is the case but I suspect it may be.

Its not a bug and its not "SOE's Crap", it is very possible to earn enough vis to get more then one mission generated. I believe that the max number of missions now is 3 that can be made per jedi. So, you are lucky I guess not to have gotten another after them

My guess is that You and your friend have both generated enough visibility not to be put on the terms just 1 time, but several.

There needs to be a visibility bar somewhere in the character sheet for this kind of thing because I suspect that people are gaining visibility from stuff that they should not be gaining it from.

Of course we can never know that because they have chosen to keep it, and everything about how we gain visibility, hidden from us.

from what i understand reading the post about visibility rules, it is neither confirmed or denied that when you are killed by a bh your visibility resets to zero. It is quit possible that it does notand that is why your name and your guild member's name stays on the terminals. It may be possible that the only way for visibility to decay is waiting the 3 weeks time. It may very well be that when you fight a bh your visibility also increases thus helping keep your name on the terminals. The rules are so vague regarding visibility that no one really knows for sure. Even logging out and not playing your jedi for 3 weeks will no garuntee that your visibility is completely decayed. Do not rely on that fact that being killed by a bh assures that you visibilty is reset to zero and you name is taken off of the terminals.

Too often players and the devs have a mindset that professions should be balanced with 1 on 1 pvp in mind. This mindset is ruining the game. The benchmark for balance should be determined by the role a profession plays in a group setting. As long as the current mindset continues we will never see uniqueness among the professions, nor will we ever see individuality within a given profession. We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.

This is true. The visibility meter doesn't get reset completely when you are killed by a BH, it just lowers the "scale". For example, say this is the scale:

-100..........0..........+100

Any time you're over 0, you're on the terminals. If you are killed by a BH, X amount of "points" are reduced from your visibility scale. If you are still over 0, then you're still on the terminals.

First off its always been that if your Vis is high enough ( and FYI the BH Fight gives vis as well ) your mission will reappear on the terminals. Secondly if the BH is using Paralyze on you and you dont have a Fire/Poison/Disease DoT on you then hes NOT exploiting it!!! You need to look at running in these situations if you cant handle the template the BH has coming at you. Dont stand and fight if you dont know how to deal with a specific BH template.

Well then, since everyone i know was under the impression that after you die from a bh , your off the terms, if this is not the case, you think we would be told, but i guess not. Maybe they changed it in regards to about 1/4th the server populations are jedi now. Isnt it so funny, they first introduced the village system because they said there were to many jedi an the new village system would lower the jedi population....LOL, what a load of crap. Musta made a big miscalculation huh SOE /laugh

Thanks for your posts guys, guess ill start going by this now

i understand what you say about vis.. but the BH terms no longer show names like they used 2.. just faction... so what are the odds of the same BH getting the same jedi mission 2 times in one day much less at all... hmmm

The visibility rules just straight suck. Especially since no one really knows for sure all the rules. How about this one that i read. When a member of the opposing faction that you are not group with sees you preform any force using action, perhaps even when your robe and ls are just equipped you gain the full value of visibility. So if you are in a group hunting and someone with a blue, as it would be in my case being a rebel, drives by with in 32m of you it could very well be possible that your vis is maxed and your name is on the terminals. Ive heard it all. Robes and light sabers being equiped cause vis ive heard. So the moral of the story is grind on Kashyyyk you have a less chance of being found by the bounty hunter as it seems that no matter what we do to be careful about vis we always have it and our names are always on the terminals.

The problem with that is most good bounty hunters can tell by the pay out value now. If they hunt you once that day they can tell that its you again by the payout listed and can then hunt you multiple times that same day.

The odd's are extremely good. No one is exploiting this, so get that out of your head. The BH terms will sometimes spit out 4-5 missions for the same person and list them all on the same page.
