Actually, I think you are confusing it with Contra. For Star Wars, you have to fall down the cavern and hit all the floating luke heads to get your 30 lives.

Perhaps, but you can also get all the lives you want by falling into that cavern on Tatooine anf bounce around hitting all the floating cartoon Luke heads. Just as pratical. And I though it was BABA not ABBA.

It could be. My 99-lives days were many, many moons ago. I am a bit rusty.

Don't forget to hit abacabb while the game is loading to enable bloodmode.
