Ok i've been around a while now and after about a year and a half I finally did it. I enjoyed it all the way through. (well most of it lol). any way i am now new to these boards, did the reading looked at the faq's. I could hold my own in the Chef and carb forums, but im the noob here. Anyway down to it. I crafted my training sabre which is fine, made a few others, this is where the prob is i made a 2nd gen 1handed, a 4th gen 2handed, and a doublebladed 4th gen. I got the pearl, crystal thing figured all out. But the prob is that my SAC is way to high. its running anywhere from 124 to 126 which my force is gone in a few hits. I read the tips for pads. right now i have xx1x sabre, nov healer, and nov defender. the question is , is this how its suppost to be or do i just keep useing my training sabre. Will the SAC come down once i get more exp point to use, or am i just missing something all together in the crafting process. Thanks for all you in advance. sorry if i made this to confusing im still wakeing up.

*goes to get some coffee to tryand wake up*

I wouldnt worry to much about action cost really. My action cost is around the same as yours and it never runs low really, just eat some action food beforehand. Its force cost that you got to worry about really, at least thats what ive found.

Indeed, he is correct. Many jedi complain their sac is to high if you just eat some relatively inexpensive action food its really not bad. Sometimes, I have a problem in PVE on high hammed creatures, but I take a knee while fighting and recover alot quicker. As far as BH's go they kite so often your action is almost always full. I've never ran out in a 1vs1 fight with a bh. Infact, I run out of force more often than action. Don't worry about SAC thepost-cu jedi needs all the damage they can get.

As far as your force issue that happens to all new jedi. Even pre-publish 9 a low leveled jedi ran out of force quickly while using their saber specials etc. Just concentrate on leveling, and force will come with experience.

there is a difference between what you were talking about

SAC = action use - 124 sac is where a saber hilt starts (as does all melee weapons infact - not just sabers) you have to experiment the efficiency line to reduce it - something thsat is tough to do without the xxx4 sabers line which has the experiment points in it

Force Cost = force use - experimenting efficiency can cut this down from 52 to 48 (on a 4th gen) - however to get it at a reasonable level you will need to obtain pearls/crystals that tune with decent -ve FC mods on them - with perfect pearls a 10 FC 4th gen saber is achievable but youll be a long way from that

ok SAC drains Action not force

you have a seprate stat on your saber called force cost. this is where your seeing your force drop fast.

Note: its also the fact you have very little force for now till you level up more each box you gain adds more. + the 250 bonus from your padawan robe.

before you end up hurting your self further.. DO not scatter any more of you Combat Level by getting the novice boxes...

you wanna stay at or as close to CL 80 as possible so you gain the greatest befit of xp per kill.

Just cause you kill something and it says 5994 XP + group bouns... your not getting that ammount.

your actually getting roughly 1/5th of that .

ok so best advice I can offer is get your LS xx4x then LS xx44 then make a saber.. soak all your experimentation in to effciancy since speed and damage are mostly if not completly wrothless and mis calculating ATM.

also if your guild or friend has a LS experimentaion suit and some poly cake and bespin port you can use while crafting it helps greatly.

and as you level get trees not tiers... it may seem slow when you hit one of those 1.6 mil xp boxes but trust me you will really be happy your getting 1k xp a kill as opposed to 300 xp a kill

and when and if a BH comes for you you will take alot more damage if you are under CL 80

Its really tough but try to keep your Vis at a lowest possible... no robes or saber equiped near NPC as much as possible and other players that are not grouped...

try not to hunt in populated areas like Noobville Minning outpost (at least on my server anyway) try to stay in remote areas with low traffic places like player cities on Tatooine or even Lok. Tat i like better cause of fewer NPC spawns and lower traffic as it seems that ever CL 1 noob day oner now all go to MO immedatly and have no idea that by going and looking at the pretty saber is hurting the Jedi with visibilty.

I hope some of this helps...

good luck

First you need to decide what lightsaber skills you want to end up with. If you are mastering LS, you can work with whatever sabers you want, but if you are 0010 then you probably want to use a polearm saber. You will be more accurate and faster with it. However, if you are not mastering saber, then you want the 2 handed line probably. Armor Break is pretty much essential.

So as I said, make sure you are using the best saber type.

Now about SAC and Force costs. Yes as you get more experimentation points your SAC and Force costs on your sabers will get better. Using good foods and spices like Blob candy and Booster Blue help out a lot with action. Your Force issues will get better as you level up and get more Force.

I strongly reccomend leveling in a group, in which case have 2 sabers rdy. Have a 1st gen with very low Force cost to use when the killing is fast. Just make sure you hit every monster once. Then have a 4th gen with your best damage pearls or crystals and damage exp. That one is for when you have lots of force and your group may need some help killing. Groups look much more kindly on people who are helping kill and not just "sponging."

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Thank you all for your input so quickly. I didnt put 2 and 2 together my bad. i knew sac pulls for the action im just not use to my force bar yet and i subconciously was thinking that it was using my force. ok got that clear in my head. so maybe use my training saber or a first gen for my force cost. I plan on being a mls. my pob was my force was gone in like 5 specials. as far as the visibility goes should i only put my robe on when im grinding, just cause my force takes so long to regen. then as far as a bh goes if one comes after me only chance ill have is to run since i cannot deal damage out without draining all my force. thanks again everyone for your help.

Yes Force bar is a pain in butt when you first start out , gets better though when you have Channel Force, speeds up your downtime lots.
