Thread: Need advice about pre-pawadan temp..need jedis help plz
Just have a solid melee template for the general melee speed and accuracy bonuses.
Doc buffs won't help you when a bh comes, don't bother fighting until you are full template.
If you use non jedi heals when you are grinding your jedi xp will come too slowly.
Keep your combat level as high as possible when you are grinding your jedi so you don't get one hit killed (It's possible)

Actually, if the unpcoming changes go live, as they are now on TC....just forget Jedi altogether. You won't be playing it anyway.

I used MCM in my early jedi life for the poison and fire as they don't sap your jedi xp when killing things also was fun when the BH's came and I set them on fire too.
Great for the solo grinding b4 the spin groups

Because using a heal from medic or doctor while grinding Jedi Exp would then split your total exp earned between the two skills used in the fight ( Jedi skill = Jedi Exp and Medic/Doc/CM = Medical Exp ) hence Jedi Exp gain would be slower.

I have all my unlocks and ready to do trials and have some questions and need your guys help badly.
I am Master Pike - Master Sword- some medic
1. Should I drop pike now and go TKM for inate armor before pawadan trials?
I did it.
2. Is it true inate armor has penalty weaing robes?
They don't stack, wearing the robe will negate the TK defense
3. Would cob or 'center of being' help a pawadans defense?
CoB cannot take effect if you are holding a saber. Must unequip and re-equip. There's a challenging macro for you
4. Should I grind 4004 doc to help me with buffs and heals?
No, just learn to become invisible and stick to the 32m rule (no Jedi ANYTHING if anything is within 32m, unless it's
your group members).
5. Should I forget jedi totally till frs comes back?
No, Jedi is a fun profession, go for it.
Please know and understand that you will be NOT effective as a low level Padawan. You will not heal right, not fight right or do anything right. Get in a group and grind.
Oh, and also make sure you have enough credits to support your pearl/crystal habit, lol.
I need help because I hear different things fron different people and insight on this would help..
Thx ahead of time

I would say the first priority is to keeping your CL up. The more CL, the more xp per kill. This makes it difficult to kill stuff with your glowstick, but with a group, not bad at all. If you can do that and keep some TKM, I don't think that is a BAD idea, but probably not a huge concern.
2. Is it true inate armor has penalty weaing robes?
I am not aware of any penalty with wearing robes and innate armor. It certainly would not be a problem with Master Defender innate armor, I doubt it would be with TKM too.
3. Would cob or 'center of being' help a pawadans defense?
Center of Being does work. You have to unequip your LS to use it, but then can re-equip when it starts up. Be advised it has a warmup timer and can be tricky to use with equipping and unequipping weapons. It does work though.
4. Should I grind 4004 doc to help me with buffs and heals?
Again, keeping your CL up is paramount to levelling effectively. If you can do that and have TKM and/or Doctor, then all the better. You should use a program like the Profession Calculator on Bloodfin's web site to better plan your strategy. Hint: Mastering one tree of Jedi is a an auto level 80.I would TRY and go that route first.
5. Should I forget jedi totally till frs comes back?
Only you can answer this question. Some people like playing thier Jedi. I know I do, even with all the nerfs. It is essentially just an elite profession now like any other. The bad part is the avoiding BHs. But since you are a BH, you know all about that.

Finally, if I had it to do over again, I would probably do much of what you describe. When I was working my skills, I got just enough LS to do an area attack as getting hits on everything that is dying around me is paramount to racking in the xp. I worked up to Master Defender so I could afford to loose my other skills that were bolstering my defense abilities. Hitting hard was not a big concern. Actually when grinding in a group, hitting less hard is sometimes better since you cannot take a lot of damage and don't want to draw a lot of agro.
In addition to those skills, try and get every novice Jedi skill. It is the cheapest way to get Force right off the bat. Plus you get a 500pt heal which is not horrible at the start. I also liked to go for at least heal 2000 and Enhanger 0002 for the 1000pt heal and Channel ability (to get force back a little faster). I was essentially that template until I was Master Defender and then worked from there. There are a lot of template options and a little planning can go a long way. I would encourage you do do that and know what you will be taking off when and for what new skill so you can best maximize your results.

nope
its MLS - 4440 Defender - 4000 Healer - 3002 Enhancer FTW!!
4xx4 enhancer does didly squat! Fr2 is unusable in combat, drain does nothing because force is not what a jedi should worry about, meditation is a joke.
extra melee defense > all those skills....
just my 2 creds

So they give XP for healing yourself....I didn't know that. Last time I did DOC, that wasn't the case.
