I was thinking of 2 temps, the 1st is the same as your first,
mls, 3402en, 4040def, 4000heal
and the other was
mls, 3002en, 4040def, 4040heal
which of these would be better?

I think MLS is overrated...
consider getting more def and sacrificng some Saber skills...
just my opinion ...
otherthen that both templates very strong indeed
Well,
I have almost the exact template of option number 1. And it is GREAT. With force armor going you have MORE innate
armor than a MDef...although it of course costs force, 8% of each hit which isn't much, but it adds up...fast at times!
But the flexiblity of this template is simply amazing. Force Run 1 which is great (though about to be nerfed to obliviion),
Force Speed 2, Force Infusion, Force Suppression, Force Wave, Force Aura. It's just a GREAT all around template.
You can play tank for short spurts, you can do the crowd control thing, with a good saber you'll have unsurpassed
offensive, with channel a good bit of force control. Just not much negative about this template.
For the second template i'd say it's just as stong on average...bit stronger is some areas, bit weaker in others. I'd recommend Def 4440 MUCH, MUCH more than your current. This way you get BOTH lines of innate armor AND you get Aura. If you are giving up Force Armor, then you'll need both innate armor lines IMO. But, if for some reason... you won't get BOTH XX00 of defender, then i'd get the 1st option hands down.

vs.
mls / 4x44 def / 3xx2 enh / 4xxx heal (around 6 mill xp to grind)
pros and cons?

What do you want to do?
I have template number 1 on TC2 and it works very well for solo and group PvE - with one caveat. Once you have FA2 up you're made of stone, nothing short of a level 85-90 mob will worry you and even these can be taken out with some care. However, against multiple mobs, especially those 4-5 levels above you and even single chevron boss mobs, FA2 drains your Force very fast. As an example I killed a level 85 yesterday and it took almost half my Force (although I wasn't being very conservative as he was alone).
In this way I still like MDef... I know a lot of people are abandoning it because of the coming changes but I think that they are being premature. I like haveing 7000 Innate and no force cost...
