To save this Game people are going to have to quit posting in the forums and start writing SOE and LA. The Forums can be ignored but how easy is it to ignored hundreds of thousands of pieces of mail flooding your corporate mail room, we the players of SWG as a whole need to get behindonevision for this game, one vision that everyone can agree upon from the crafters to the jedi. and we need to back it all the way to SOE corporate headquarter and to skywalker ranch, Only united togather can we get the changes we want. Gizmo has a Good vision but it needs quite a bit of tweaking. maybe its time to stop whinning and come togather for the good of the game, before they hit the off switch on our servers.
The numbers started to drop drastically quite a while before the CU, I just came back post CU and a lot of the people I played with in the first few months have started coming back because of the CU as well, i dont know how the numbers in total are but I have seen a lot of people coming back as of lately just for the changes that they made with the CU. I left because of the state of the game pre cu as well did many others.
but from the looks of it many more will most likely leave after the next publish anyways. I know I would leave again if they went back to precu. I think a lot of people would probably be happy with the game as it is if they would quit trying to add more to the game and start fixing what is already here, that has always been my problem with the way this game is managed. everytime something is wrong in the game they either ignore it or try to fix it by adding something else that just causes way more problems.
the one patch that really drove me nuts was near the begining of the game, droid engineers were utterly useless after the first time they got nerfed, all the DE's were excited about the next patch hoping that the bugs in DE would be fixed and some of the droids would work again. the patch comes out and what are the notes...something along the lines of 'Fixed an animation with droids....'. no fix to the profession that is utterly bugged yet they find the time to fix a minor animation issue with some droids.
not sure about all the others but that is the type of thing that makes me mad about this game. SOE really needs to change their priorities instead of trying to add expansions, new content, etc to get new people coming to the game they need to work on the current game to keep the existing customers. then work on attracting new players.
