Well i've got to level 16 so far, stupid server decided it wanted maintaince...now i'll have to wait 12hours to get back in i bet. once thing i have noticed is, at this level i have 3068 health, just imagine how much we might have at level 90. so far the newbie questing, and rewards you get from them, is actually pretty good. on par with what you'd probably have found in wow, and they actually have a trailing storyline. they could have used this at the begining of retail, insted of having useless quest npcs, giving us broken data pads..

I'm wondering what they'll do with our skill tapes though.. the new clothes on testcenter, that are either looted or given in quest, have bonuses to buff our stats. but they don't have any sockets....this could become a problem, as we can only wear so many things with our robes. i'm still switching between pistol, and a melee weapon, as i have i think.. 22 levels before i can even craft a saber.. and i'm more than sure i wont' have the resources to make it. but i'd really like to see how fast the combat is.

Leveling so far has been a breeze, being around...14-20k per level...after level 10.

One problem so far is NPCs hit just as fast as the player, so if you get more then 2 on you at equal conning levels you are sure to die, straight up. and that also brings me to the new incap system. you now incap and get a "weakened" state icon in your buff bar, a 2minute timer. if you're incapped within that time, you are slain and sent to the cloner.. (of your choice it seems, now you can pick which cloner to go to on the planet). bit shoddy.. i'd rather have the 3 incaps..but oh well

Wayfar..finally got a shuttleport.. 2 years...for them to build a shuttleport..bout damn time.

You also don't get your first "Force sensitive" quest until about level 14, where they give you a brief..starting quest to sort of...warm you up to the path of the force.

so..my ratings so far.

Questing 4/5

Combat 3/5 <-loses points beacuse the mouse over targeting sucks as a melee, and if there are alot of creatures or corpses in the way, you'll end up dying.

AI 0/5

Leveling Rate: Fast

Difficulty: Minimal.

Final Thoughts: Its alright....it'll be great for new players, i dont know how the higher levels will play out, or how our characters will be so i can't say much on it. but at the lower levels, i find it abit fun. combat system is better than the CU. But with SOE's ability to implant any form of change horribly... god help us.

oh yeah..and its true force run only last 3seconds, but from what i've seen there isn't any other form of burst run in the game, unless its in the other classes.

Good review

I do not know what more I can ask for in terms of quests, except that it would be fun to read a bit about the quest rewards before taking them. Also I was a bit ticked when I couldnt use my chosen Bandolier with my Robe.

--- Cancelled 24th November 2006
Reason: The lack of multiplayer pve content and Star Wars feel.
For 3 years I have tried to find excuses to stay in game but only the expansions offered me what I subscribed for in the first place: A multiplayer Star Wars pve experience with friends around the globe. I found friends but with almost no addition of pve content they dropped out one by one. Now it's my turn.

i also forgot to add this, weapons don't have SAC's anymore in the new system, nor do they have speed. only distance and damage. after taking a look at the post about sabers, i suggest making one with a really high base damage.

I dislike to use the robe myself. They where very cool in KOTOR, but in SWG they look more than costumes for a masquerade.

But with +10 agility I just couldnt live without it.

I had quite a nice collection of bonusgiving items after reaching level 10 this morning. I then got caught with a bugged starport terminal (couldnt launch).

The "noob" area rocks. Alot better than running around Mos Eisley. I am kinda worried what the quests look like beyond the first starport.
I am also concerned about what loot I will have as a converted level 80 character, compared with someone who actually grinded all the way up, looting along the way.

If there one thing I truly appreciate with the system, it's the removal of enforced weaponry. Now you can use whatever you want.

and if you're wondering how the specials work, think about how the CU specials worked, except add a longer timer. any moves that have the same icon, are on the same timer. like centered strike, focused strike, shii-cho strike, only difference is they slowly get stronger. so far the timer is the same throughout the levels.

Well i did all the "legacy" questing in mos eisley, after you leave from there you are sent to either Bestine or Anchor head, your choice. you can start working for the rebels or imperials at this point. i went through the rebelish side, i got sent to tosche station..(only a few meters away) then i got sent out to the lars homsted where i had to run to a harvester in 60seconds (they have added missions with timers now) and disable a bomb that was surronded by 4 higher level npc Battle droids (roger roger!).

after that i went and finished my first force sensitive quest, since its in the area.. they make you go to the tatoonie oasis..(beautiful for those that haven't been there), do abit there, then you're headed to either bestine or mos espa i don't remember. you do your valerian bit, then i know you have to go to watto's. right now the quest i am on is broken, the npc seems to die after one person uses him...but its a nice tusken grinding spot.

I have also noticed if the mission is way lower in level to you (greyeed out), you have to retalk to the person to get the next mission.
