Would this mean all new Jedi don't EVER get to use a 4th gen saber because they could never level past CL80? I wonder if other profs have certifications for equipment that are beyond CL80.

Depending how much better a 4th gen is going to be over a 3rd gen, this could be a nice for us.

actually all people can get to lvl 90, if you go on tc and count the lvls(little dots on the skill circle thing)there are 90

Yea the CL90 is not a Elder thing, everyone can get it and I am glad to because that would get nerfed after a few months and new people started leveling.

The part that talks about CL80-90 shows up in the Official NGE FAQ #1 under the section "IV. New Veteran Player Loyalty Rewards", so I figured this was something for existing players only.

Ah well.

It was listed but not as an actual reward. Kinda like reading the fine print on a new car or ebay ads

It listed the rewards and said something like in addition PLAYERS (not elders) will be able to got from level 80-90 enhacing thier game play (not exact but something like that). Sneaky little SOE, If you read it they you can see they worded it so it was not a reward. But a additional perk so the vets should be happy not sad

I guess it is pretty easy to get confused when the devs tell us that cl90 will only be for vets then everyone else says all players get to be cl90

IV. New Veteran Player Loyalty Rewards

We are offering current active characters several loyalty bonus items in recognition of their status in the game community as valued veterans:

• Elder Buff - Increases to combat abilities, this buff can be shared with new players.
  
• Elder Title - In recognition of your status in the game as a valued veteran player.
  
• Profession Re-Allocation Option - All characters active prior to the introduction of the new game enhancements will receive a total of 9 re-allocation options or charges attached to their character to allow the player to test out each of the new professions once before choosing the final path.

before this opened on testcenter what made you believe it was for everyone? When this FAQ was released it is listed as a vet reward.

Thanks for quoting the FAQ there. Yes, depending on how you read that section, you could easily interpret it as only vets get to level beyond CL80.

But I understand what you mean now Rychan after re-reading it with that in mind.
