Thread: question about 4th gen sabers

hi im a freshly new ithorian jedi, and i was wondering, with the template ive chose, i will not have MLS. but if i get MLS, craft a 4th gen, then go to, say x4x4 ls, can i still use 4th gen sabers? thanks and sorry if my ignorance is insulting

Under the new system, you can do this. A lot of people do as a matter of fact.

If ya going to get MLS for the saber crafting try and borrow a Lightsaber suit with at least +20 Exp mod to it. Try and make a set of various sabers to use/keep around. The SAC reduction is really nice and such,I love my 95 SAC saber over the 114 and 126 I use to use.

instead of MDef x4x4 LS, would master-ls be better? ---since probably i wont have good crystals/pearls--- and 2 trees of defender?
im pretty sure i want at least 3204 enh and 4000 heal but i dunno what to master and such, thx for the advice in advance

Really depends on your play style. Personally I have always played a tank/defensive type role so I love MDef. While I know others that love power so go with MLS and/or MPowers for that reason. Ultimately it comes down to your play style, tank/offensive/support, and research templates that have been posted to see what you feel would best fall in line with your style.

A 4th gen saber only requires CL 54, so you'll be fine once you get to that level in Jedi.

one more final question about vis. if you go to, say, a remote place with no npc/players, equip robes/saber, and shuttle to a city, does that count as vis? or do you have to only equip/unequip/use force to get vis? also same with the title

From the grinding guide someone posted a few posts below on my screen/setup. You can run around wearing your robe, saber in hand w/o getting Vis as long as ya follow the basic guidelines quoted here.
I. Visibility - In order to grind in peacewithout the constant, persistent attacks ofthe evil bhs, you must be wary of the facts that will give you visibiity soit's possible to prevent.
- All restrictions of distance is at default: 32m.
- Do not equip your saber or robe in front of any NPC/PLAYERs.
- Do not use any force powers in front of any NPC/PLAYERs.
- Do not duel any player friends unless you are in a group to avoid visibility.
- Do not use any passive force powers than drain your force overtime in front of NPCs. (Force run)
- Do not use any force powers / equip robe, saber / in front of any Creature handlers pets.
- Warning: Reckless Jedi are we, therefore prepare to witness the consequences if you do not obliged to the steps above. Bounty hunters will strike swiftly and silently at times. You have been warned.
- Other useful information...
- Keep radar at 256m.
- Disable terrain on radar map. (ctr o + interface)
