Ok so do I still get a free character slot? If so when am i granted this Character Slot?

Any info at all would be very helpful

Yes, you do get a second character slot. You get it when you become a Jedi.

Jedi Initate? or Jedi Padawan? Ill be an Initiate agter the next phase change, jsut wondering what you have to be.

Once you have completed the trials and have been granted title of Padawan and received your lightsaber you will get your free unlock slot.

After you finish the 16 Padawan trials and get your Jedi robes.
