This is something I've kind of wanted to do for awhile but was a little weary of posting due to BH taking missions, etc.... Chalk it up to paranoia. Since the template guide actually has a sticky now and with the upcoming changes in publish 20, I thought I'd throw mine into the hat. This is another NO MASTERY template, so its not for everyone, and it is far from godly. But it is a lot of fun and its well rounded.

I went with Defender 4340, Saber 0401, Healer 4000, Enhancer 4004, Powers 0404.

Defender 4340: This gives Improved Aura which is a very nice thing to have in PvE as well as PvP. You also get Improved Dominate Mind which helps to pull off agro so you can do some tanking when needed. You get 50 Innate Jedi Armor total with this version of defender.

Saber 0401: You get all the necessary FOTM saber skills with this, except for state applications(see powers)and saber throw. It gives Improved Armor Break I don't think that needs any explanation, Improved Power Attack which is the best saber move to date, and you get Improved Head Hit which is nice to alternate to and from with Power Attack for dealing some damage with KD. You also get Saber Sweep which is nice for a KD in melee range.

Healer 4000: Not much needs to be said here. You get Advanced Heal and Improved Force Infusion. This with the Defender build complement each other nicely with Aura+Infusion, as we all already know.

Enhancer 4004: With this build you get Improved Force Run Which requires no explanation, its just more useful than FR1, especially now with the toggle ability. Improved Force Suppresion which is the only Jedi root and helps for the people who kite and run. Improved Force Wave helps slow them down when you can't get a root on them. Improved Force Speed helps make up for some speed loss with not having Master Saber. Channel A necessary skill to have with the lowered force pool that this template carries. Drain Force for when you run up against a drainer. What's fair is fair. Improved Force Shield This is nice against powers users, and so is Force Absorb. And last you get Force Meditate I tried this as 4003 Enhancer with 4440 Defender and found that I like the Meditate more than the +4 Innate Armor. With Channel and Meditate, force regen isn't a big deal.

Powers 0404: This is my favorite part of this template. Force Cloak This is the funnest skill in the game in my opinion. The ability to be invisible is too much to pass up and I believe I read that with publish 20 the /targeting of cloaked players won't work anymore which makes this skill that much cooler. This is where the namesake of this template comes from. Its all about ninja stealth killing. The number of things you can do with cloak just makes this the most versatile skill in my template, again, in my opinion. Improved Mind Blast This is nice for state application. It has a chance to make the target stunned and/or dizzy. Improved Force Throw. This also adds a stun state effect. Improved Force Knockdown. Its a cone version and not the area, but multiple KD's is a lot fun, especially when cloaked!(and especially when it works.) There is also Force Hit and Force Strike, but since both suck a lot, I'm only going to acknowledge them.

The end stats you have with this template aren't as good as a single/dual mastery template, but its a game and its meant to be fun.

Force Pool= 5750(6k even with robes).
Force Regen= 50
Force Accuracy = 70
Force Damage = 100
Force Defense = 80
Innate Jedi Armor = 50
Jedi State Defense = 15
LightSaber Assembly = 25
LightSaber Block = 5
LightSaber Experimentation = 20
Two Handed LightSaber Accuracy = 115
Two Handed LightSaber Speed = 75

Some of the Pro's to this template are the grind is significantly shorter and you're not bogged down to one single combat role. You can do support with transfering force and healing, You can do a fair bit of tanking - it's not as good as Master Defender but its not supposed to be, and you can deal a good deal of damage if you like to get right in there (provided you have a decent saber). For 1 on 1 PvP you can hold your own very well if you play defensively. Against BH, you have all the skills you need to take them out and if you can't you can run/cloak if need be. I've been able to take 3 on 1 with this template with no problem (Non-jedi Pre 19). It gives you the ability to do a lot of things solo in game as well. The versatility of this template is as much its strength as it its weakness.

The only Con's I have run up against are the lower force pool it carries and the fact that its not focused to do one thing really well. With the extremely low high end numbers on Force Max tapes it makes wearing your robes a necessity to be up to par with other jedi out there. The low numbers for saber crafting leave a lot to be desired. I was fortunate enough to be able to respec to MLS to create a few sabers and respec out of it. Mass PvP is doable, but if you get swarmed you go down quick - as with any template. I'm sure there are more than this, but I honestly haven't run up against them yet.

As far as Grinding advice goes, I ground out what I had left of it pretty quickly with group grinding. With the dropping of visibility from group members a safe place in the corner of any planet is far better than Kashyyyk. You just need to put that saber down when a non group member comes around. The way I ground it out was to focus on staying alive at first, that's advice I'd give for any template. So a good place to start, if you're a new jedi, is to go up the Rejuvination tree in Healer first, then do the Force Defense tree in Defender next (Aura + Infusion does wonders). After that I'd recommend doing the Celerity tree in Enhancer, then the rest of Defender, then the Lightsaber pieces of the template, with the Powers part last(0400 first then 0004 dead last.)I'd also recommend going up the saber tech tree at the very least to make a few decent sabers and then grind out the xp you need to drop it and replace it (with Powers 0004). It does add a few million xp onto the grind if you don't have a good saber made, but that can be ground out in a day or two.

This template is For anyone who doesn't like being stuck doing one thing, wants a good and varied range of skills, and who can manage a force pool. It also requires patience from time to time. If you like being able to sneak up on people and get a few hits in before they know what's going, you should have a lot of fun with this template.

This template is Not For people who want to be the biggest baddest jedi on the server, those who like to mash buttons, and those who like to do one thing really well at the expense of utility.

The only bugs this template has is the ability for people to /target you while you're cloaked, (this is in the patch notes for pub 20.) and the healing bug where it targets other players instead of you. (An easy workaround for this is to make a macro button that does /forceheal self; - you can also bind this to the numpad to free up a space in your toolbar. You may want to do the same with Force Infusion as well - whether you use a macro for it or otherwise.)

Well enjoy picking it apart, adding suggestions, flaming or whatever it is that floats your boat.

No matter who writes a template description or when he does it theres always 2 certain answers:

  1. Thats not true to the star wars story / timeline ( So f***ing what ? )

  2. My template is better than yours! - Again....SFW ? we dont care; and neither does he who wrote it

he wrote it, he gets to pick the name. You have the same power, but you need to writea template guidefirst.

Nice work. I'll add it to my sticky thread when I get a little time today or tomorrow.

Great guide. Good work!

I have added it to the original post in my professions & templates guides thread, which used to be stickied but has now been downgraded to being linked in a "Players thread compilation" post.

Sorry for the delay, I have been away for a few days. Thanks for your contribution.

Cool template for sure, thanks for writing it!

I have been reading this board for a long time, never posted here. Finally getting aglowstick soonand trying to figure out the skill points. I've read and re-read every stickied posted and haven't been able to find quite what I am looking for. Figured I would pose the questions here and provide a bump instead of starting a new thread.

Can anyone point me to a post that show all the skill trees and the skill point cost for each? Even just an answer here for what each novice, 1-4 and master box costs would be appreciated.
