Does anyone have an original "Welcome Jedi Padawan" email? LikePre-Pub9 on your "new" unlocked Jedi? I remember it being written really well. But I totally can't find a copy. Would love to read it, just for fun. If you have a copy...could you either /reply to this message, PM me, or send it IG to "ahazi.malach". Thanks.

I still have it in my game mail.

I have to hang at wotk for a while. If you haven't gotten it by the time I get home I'll send you a screenie or something.

(It's easy to throw things on Image Dump I assume? Never tried )

Thank you, ServerLag.

I found a "Greetings Young Jedi" message -- an FRS Invitation. Clicky. That was well-done too.

i loved seeing that message. Sadly the screenie of the welcome young padawan and the FRS messages are on the HD of my old comp that got hit by lightning. I am just to lazy to hook up the old HD and transfer them over lol.

Welcome Jedi Padawan.

You are about to take your first steps in one of the ultimate journeys in Star Wars Galaxies.

It is a very precarious time for users of the Force and your path to become a Jedi Knight is wrought with danger and excitement.

Before you begin there are a few important things to note. Jedi must train secretly and locating your personal trainer can sometimes be difficult. Use the command /findmytrainer to sense the location of your trainer. At times you may not be able to detect your trainer, if this happens wait a little while and try later.

The dedication required to learn your Force abilities will take all of your personal resources. You will have to surrender non Jedi skills in order to advance along the path to Jedi Knighthood.

Finally, the life of a Jedi is wrought with extreme risk. Act carefully as your actions could bring great and devastating repercussions. Jedi are extremely susceptible to the rigors of cloning. When a Jedi dies they will suffer an experience loss.

On behalf of the entire development team, thank you and continue enjoying your time in Star Wars Galaxies. May the Force be with you.

EDIT: Looking back, it's odd that they said "Experience loss" instead of skill loss. I wonder what the early, early Permadeath-era one said?

Totally curious. Thanks for the cut-n-paste. Sometimes I forget how exciting it was to become a Jedi. AndI totally like to remember.

I remember when I unlocked jedi, just a few hours before server reset of the night I thought Pub 10 would come out. Actually was 1 week 2 hours later for pub 10 but at the time I could not take the chance. I had 31 profs done and just finished getting the xp to master Bio Engineer my last profession. So I dressed up, traveled to theed and went to the BE trainer. Made sure I had sound and took some initital sceen shots then talked to the trainer and learned my 32 profession.

Then I felt like I was in Star Wars with total immersion. That eriee music starts sounding, messages start displaying telling me I did it I had reached the summit. It was truely a magical time. I went to the village the following week and made a mistake in the village training so that I had to grind up a brach in Luck. Yeah in the beginning the Devs and CSRs were little help with the village unlocking for those who unlocked pre pub 10. So I spent my time getting the senses xp for Luck using DNA sampling. Took some time but was okay I knew I would get my Jedi and it gave me the chance to try out the village.

Dathomir was great then to hange out with my Singing Mountain Sister mistresses. Something could aggro me and I'd know they would protect me or even help me fight creatures. Ah going after Ancinet Rancors was great. Watching the Singing Mountian Sisters us ranged Force attacks was great. I'd watch with envy.

Nowadays I do a lot of adjusting of combat and play style moves in adjustment to the next major nerf that hits. My mistresses have been hard hit with "angry bag" syndrome affecting all animals and NPCs alike. Spend more times on the forums usually reading with dread laughing at the next thing I enjoyed getting removed.

Just remember a year ago SOE announced the hireing of like 20 to 30 folk to add more content to this game to allow some folk more time for the combat balance where wen implemented all professions would be balanced and armor adjusted. Nothing was mentioned of a level system getting added time the shock of the Test center.

I'm currently working on Politician as profession 33 and finished up getting a few more badges. Little do I fear Tuskans or other creatures. I still have my rifle I use since its more powerful than my saber even though I don't have marksman. Just one more thing for SOE to take away. But then I am a hermit by nature. Forcing me to be with other people just to make progress in the game is disturbing.

Why does Japan have Pre CU servers anyways while the CU is still active here? Trying to cause international problems when you force the CU down upon them. Going t be a good laugh in the US when you do. Or is it a stock market ploy? Sell SOE stock just before CU implementation in Japan and buy back when the stock is low. Interesting tactics.

I may buy the blue gloweee planet expansion when it comes out, but then I'm going to start rationing my subscription to 1 outta 3 months. I see some improvements with the CU that woulda balanced Pre CU that coulda been done, but the Level sstem is just something thats horrid still to this day.

How can you say you've lived life if you've never danced?
Well I do remember Han having a one piece suit made out of carbonite but it weighed a ton. Still it didnt require any ironing and was very wear resistant.
Thanks SOE! The CU and NGE gave me my life back. Thanks! Bitterness is the taste of love lost, a tear of acid that burns the heart.
Long gone, in sorrow of song. Stand I make to deliver hope with twisted temporal past, for the ripples in time distort what affects when. Prowlies a must see Clicky!
As a dreamer I sing to the sea and imagine the possibilities and potential this game could free, but when I get home a sad sight there be. A lost fool, for once was is gone, what could've been to never be, and the angel of my heart to be forgotten, locked away by the key of SOE.
