Thread: Welcome Jedi Padawan Email
I still have it in my game mail.
I have to hang at wotk for a while. If you haven't gotten it by the time I get home I'll send you a screenie or something.
(It's easy to throw things on Image Dump I assume? Never tried
)

Really easy bud

Thank you, ServerLag.
I found a "Greetings Young Jedi" message -- an FRS Invitation. Clicky. That was well-done too.
i loved seeing that message. Sadly the screenie of the welcome young padawan and the FRS messages are on the HD of my old comp that got hit by lightning. I am just to lazy to hook up the old HD and transfer them over lol.
You are about to take your first steps in one of the ultimate journeys in Star Wars Galaxies.
It is a very precarious time for users of the Force and your path to become a Jedi Knight is wrought with danger and excitement.
Before you begin there are a few important things to note. Jedi must train secretly and locating your personal trainer can sometimes be difficult. Use the command /findmytrainer to sense the location of your trainer. At times you may not be able to detect your trainer, if this happens wait a little while and try later.
The dedication required to learn your Force abilities will take all of your personal resources. You will have to surrender non Jedi skills in order to advance along the path to Jedi Knighthood.
Finally, the life of a Jedi is wrought with extreme risk. Act carefully as your actions could bring great and devastating repercussions. Jedi are extremely susceptible to the rigors of cloning. When a Jedi dies they will suffer an experience loss.
On behalf of the entire development team, thank you and continue enjoying your time in Star Wars Galaxies. May the Force be with you.
EDIT: Looking back, it's odd that they said "Experience loss" instead of skill loss. I wonder what the early, early Permadeath-era one said?

I remember when I unlocked jedi, just a few hours before server reset of the night I thought Pub 10 would come out. Actually was 1 week 2 hours later for pub 10 but at the time I could not take the chance. I had 31 profs done and just finished getting the xp to master Bio Engineer my last profession. So I dressed up, traveled to theed and went to the BE trainer. Made sure I had sound and took some initital sceen shots then talked to the trainer and learned my 32 profession.
Then I felt like I was in Star Wars with total immersion. That eriee music starts sounding, messages start displaying telling me I did it I had reached the summit. It was truely a magical time. I went to the village the following week and made a mistake in the village training so that I had to grind up a brach in Luck. Yeah in the beginning the Devs and CSRs were little help with the village unlocking for those who unlocked pre pub 10. So I spent my time getting the senses xp for Luck using DNA sampling. Took some time but was okay I knew I would get my Jedi and it gave me the chance to try out the village.
