Players should give vis unless in guild. Same faction and group members (not opposite faction)should give reduced vis (very little). Opposite faction will give vis even if in group.

NPCs should give vis. If you have high faction with the NPC it is less vis, if you have high negative faction it is more vis.

If you kill it, it gives no vis... player or NPC. If you try to kill it and fail, it givesa lot of vis.

Seems simple. Make a math formula that references your faction status with that npc or player. If they are within 32m and see jedi action they will give vis say 30 minutes (or whatever seems to be agood time limit)later. If they die before the 30 minute timer expires, they do not give vis. You could even make the time limit dependent on location. For example, in a major city word would spread very quickly, so say within 5 minutes any given npc or player would tell someone, thus generating vis. If you are in the middle of nowhere it might take a 30-60minutes for word of your exploits to be passed on.

i could see that if you were a sith then yah kill it kill it kill it, and no vis. But what about Jedi. That wouldnt really fit into what a Jedi should be a killer so he wont be seen.

Too often players and the devs have a mindset that professions should be balanced with 1 on 1 pvp in mind. This mindset is ruining the game. The benchmark for balance should be determined by the role a profession plays in a group setting. As long as the current mindset continues we will never see uniqueness among the professions, nor will we ever see individuality within a given profession. We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.

You are correct. A jedi (as opposed to a sith) would not want to kill people just to avoid vis. That is a choice the jedi has to make. A jedi with good faction would take minimal vis from the npc that they did not kill. A sith, on the otherhand, who kills everyone to avoid vis, will have a lot of negative faction and will take a ton of vis from any npc or player that sees the sith and is not killed.
