Someone told me that you can not gain visibilty during the first week as a new jedi padawan. Is this true?

no, as soon you get your force bar you will start to generate vis

haha u seriously believe that statement lol u beign fed porkies bro,as soon as ur padawan ur open to vis if spotted by un-grouped playersor npc's within 32m's or closer while u usingany jedi related powers or ur saber infront of them

I had someone try to tell me I was a noob because I said NPC's give visibility. Supposedly he was a close personal friend of the Jedi Correspondent, and a launch-day vet... Go figure.
My point is that the majority of the players in the game who don't visit these forums are mostly extremely ignorant about the way things REALLY work. So NEVER listen to them.
The answer to your question can be debated but I think the consensus is that YES, you can get VIS in the first week.

ok heres the deal, you get vis, but it's debatable or not if you get on the terms. The 3 people that I unlocked with, none of us got hunted untill the 7th day, and then they came in waves. (like 5-6 a day) but that was when names and payouts were on terms.. I'm still not solid if there is a grace period, but I can in fact tell you that you build up viz, you just may, I say again may not get on the terms.. I've heard of people being hunted the first day.. I'm thinking it doesn't start when you unlock, it may start when you start your trials, not sure, so don't hold me to anything.

I don't know how it is now, but Just after the CU when groups still generated visibility both me and my g/f unlocked. We both got into the kash grinding groups, did some on Tatooine, etc.... Suffice it to say if there were hunters hunting we would have been on the terms. Nothing the first week. After that she's been hunted like 20x (me only once....) Never been caught, but from my experience the grace period of not being termed is true.

Exactly. Of course you get vis. But nobody really knows if you stay off the terms for 7 days or not. It seems to work for some, for others it doesnt.
