If you die in space due to excessive laser bolts/missiles frying your ship, and you are a jedi, do you lose xp from dying in space? I ask 'causeI am a tier 1 pilot, but now don't know if flying/dying would kill my jedi-xp or if that's just on the ground. Any jedi pilots plz respond.

sig: I hate PvP to begin with, why would I want to be forced into it to carry a heavier burden just so I can remain helpful?

No, you can only lose Jedi XP from a BH loss.

I thought that any death on the ground was subject to an xp loss?

BUT i'm not sure if a BH went up into space and blew you up, if you would lose Jedi XP. My inital thoughts are "no", mainly because the overt rules in space differ from your ground status.

Who knows.

From my understanding (and experience) you only lose Jedi XP on the ground to a BH that kills you who has your mission. Space is a safe haven i believe.

Correct. Space, PVE Death and PVP loss you will not lose exp. Death from a BH you will and is the only way
