Thread: I'm willing to bet....
That FS slots will be handed out directly by GM's. During the monthly "events", every now and then a GM will choose a "winner" and that person will get a FS slot.
I say this with experience from playing EQ for an inordinate ammount of time. My guild was fairly friendly with our server's GM, so occasionally we would find ourselves in the thick of a GM event. Every now and then we'd find that one of our members was deemed "worthy" of receiving a prize for the event. Our GM would hand out items from the very highest end encounters of the day, (i.e. we were given ahorn of hsagra, and aswiftblade of the ykesha, at one point I believe).
I guess this solution just seems to make more sense to me than stuff like "don't macro or curse or you won't get it!" or that the servers are recording the ammount of stepsyou take and if you don't explore enough you won't get it!In addition, I might be inclined to believe something like that, but the minute I heard L33t H4x0rs delivered the information, Iknew it was all BS(see thread in the discussion forum).
With a solution like this, theres at least one new jedi hopeful per server per month, everyone who participates has a chance to win a slot, and we really won'tbe seeing jedi for months, as they decide when they want to start giving them out. Also, it really WILL be different for everyone... unless they do the same serverwide event more than once, thestoryline is always going to be different.
Anyway, thats my take on the situation. I was trying not to become a fanboi and post, but I was just sitting around and thought of that, so I thought someone might be interested.
