The second premium i have ever tuned turned out to be....
35dmg
-1 fc
=/
-Evan
Is there anything to do to get a better tune????

Its definitely not random, but the range needs to be fixed NOW. The one premium i tuned was 24 -7. It isnt random no,.....cause every poor ive tuned was like 0 dmg 0 speed -1 fc.....

well from my experiences it has been random because i bought 2 fair crystals and i had these stats on them.
A) 6 min, 6, max, 0 force
B) 24 min, 24 max, -6 force
not to mention the premium i tuned 2 weeks ago that was worse then the fair i tuned recently.

Well random mabye!
Some days ago I tuned 4 Premium Crystals!
All tuned crappy!
FC: -1 -2 -4 -8(12 damage)
I can't use any of them 
Mabye you have bad days and good days........

Lets just look at it seriously. If its so random like everyone agrees, then why do crystals/pearls have a quality rating? I've said it before and again. REMOVE the quality rating on crystals/pearls and give them all equal chance at tuning great. That way a crystal off a janta and mokk has the same chance at tuning perfect as a Krayt pearl. The only difference is the drop rates. Janta mokks should have a lower drop rates since they are easily killed solo, where Krayts/NS Elders should have a higher drop rate since they are higher end mobs.

whoever says its not random is either, blind, or a complete fool. sorry but its true. ok heres why i say so.
A Poor Crystal : Tuned To 28 damage / -.37 speed / -8 force cost.
ok, i tuned a Quality crystal, which is fairly higher than a poor, and i get this.
-1 damage / -.28 speed / 0 force cost.
Sorry man, but its random, and completely stupid, its identical to Smuggler Slicing, dont know what your gonna get, until you get it. Good, or bad. No Range limit anywhere. Friend of mine, tuned a -4 force cost EXCEPTIONAL krayte pearl. One word, Random.

Thats the problem. It is random. However that goes to my previous post why have quality ratings when its just going to be random?

/agree ITS RANDOM!
But I still cant figure out how I tuned 4 premium Crystals in a row - and no one of the were any good ...
Well mabye it could just be random - or mabyr it has something to do with good / bad tuning days!
Donno if there is such things - but if I tune a premium crappy - I wont tune any more Crystals that day

i by no means think that i know everything, but have looted a lot of crystals in my day and more recently premium pearls from krayts. what i can tell you is my theory...
over the past few weeks i have tuned around 12 premium pearls, 6 premium elder looted crystals, and 25-30 various other crystals from janta/mokk and fs guys on dant.
i am a knight with master ls...do not think this should matter but it may. my theory is that the chance of premiums tuning to a great tune (i rank great tune as 40-50 dmg -9 fc) are greater than that of a fair or any other quality rating tuning to great.
flawless 85-90% chance
premium 80-85% chance
select 60-70% chance
quality 20-30% chance
good 10-20% chance
fair and poor 1-5% chance
these are not exact testing but due to the "randomness" of great tunes i would be inclined to say these are close. with that being said i have a collection of 18 great tuned pearls/crystals. of those 18, 14 were from premium pearls, 2 from premium crystals, 1 from a good crystal, from a mokk shaman, and finally 1 from a fair looted from a janta. i tune every crystal i get just in the case that i get a great tune.
just my 2 cents

A good crystal tuned to 20/20 -8FC and had a Premium tun to 35/35 -1FC.
I dont know about you but I am not going to use a -1FC crystal no mater wat the damage is. I woud rather have a 0/0 -8 or -9 crystal.

I tuned two Flawless Pearls and they got identical stats.
Max on damage/speed/HAM and -6fc 
It's all flawless..

I have tuned about 30 quality and had none with Force Cost better than -7 ...
Not sure if this is correct cahn-a-licious....
I'll agree its for sure random - but mabye there is more to it than that......
