Thread: Why should I fight BH's?

when did you craft yours? I used near perfect resources and got 242 and 3.43

Actually, the average dammage on a BH chosen weapon is greater than the 800-ish you have hear, even on Beginner BH. A BH that settles for less than 1k dmg in a weapon is a rare thing indeed unless it is fast as all hell.
And lest we forget about PuPs. Most BH are working with 1100-1300 dmg weapons. MINE sure is.
Skill and tapes ontop of that make for a truely powerful kick.
Then theres the Anti AB armor slices, and the Med/combat droids that can be healed with any MED skill, especially spray, which heals both simultaniously at the bonus heal that the droid gives EVEN when it is rendered dissabled, and continues to give its bonus regarless of current condition. (contraversy on weather this is Exploitive)
All in all, you are correct. BH have the upper hand by far, and have had it for some time now.
As for the MYTH of JEDI BEING 1.5 x Tougher. It is Just That. A Myth!
BH average 65% of all marks successfully, even vs full knights.
They have all along or there would BE no reason to bother to hunt us.
Tell us again about this 1.5 thingy?
I have been taken as a knight by TK docs.
Did i mention Im MLS MDEF with very near perfect pearls?
And Im NO slouch at PVP.
For them, its just a matter of wearing the ol force pool down.
In game, I have a form letter pre-written and waiting in my Mail box out lining these very problems so a child could understand them, and I mail it to BH that anoy me.
It details the pointlessness of jedi contributingto, or evenBothering with BH that hunt them.
Theres nothing In it for us. and I can beat 80% of the BH that come for me. I just rarely bother these days.

The BH that politely ask for a stand up fight directly, I give the privalege of tasting saber.
The bottom feeders that whine, gripe, lie, sneak attack, and shout obscenities to goad me get run around buildings KD-ed alot, and laughed at for hours straight, as MY source of amusement Content.
They also get the letter.
Now try not to confuse what I have written as fact here, with whining. If you dont understand the difference, go back to school.
Any BH that flames the Above has never played a Jedi, and isnt worth the reading.
Only POSSATIVE contributions, are worth the read. Kisses all.

I have been hunted a few times killed once... got away a couple of times. I am just curious as to what the community, devs, and correspondants think about the following question.
What is the point of a full template Jedi and/or a non-full template Jedi actually spending the time to sit back and fight a BH under the current system?
I don't see any point in wasting my time doing it for the following reasons.
1. There are no disadvantages for the BH if s/he loses.
2. The disadvantage for Jedi losing is a loss of experience. As a full template this isn't that big a deal but until then it just sucks.
3. There are absolutely no advantages for the Jedi if he actually does win. You don't gain experience... you don't gain force power... you don't gain money... you gain nothing... absolutely nothing.
4. The BH holds all the cards. He gets first strike. He chooses the timing of the fight. He is able to use 2 stats that have an almost unlimited supply of points with no real regen problems (unlike the force power tree that when it runs out you're toast).
5. The DOT attacks of CM are nasty... Jedi don't get anything to compare. You can mitigate it by having healer or enhancer but that's alot of skill points taken away from combat ability.
6. Then lets go on to the kite factor. BH's are ranged and as long as they can stop the Jedi from moving or at the very least slow them down the Jedi are toast and can't even damage the BH. Effect? Jedi drop force power cause they have to heal, BH don't lose mind cause they don't have to heal. Sure Jedi get Force Suppression and Force Wave... assuming of course that the Jedi has Enhancer. Let's face it... the KD effect of Saber Toss is as usefull as underhand shot... in total.. not very cause there is no effect that can be placed on either char to keep them on the ground and stopped.
7. Then we get into weaponry. The average lvl 54 weapon that a WS can make for a BH is 700-800 max damage and about 2.0 speed. A decent gen 4 saber is 242 max damage and 3.43 speed. Then add in pearls and crystals of which at the present time "good" ones are bugged and you really can only get your saber up to about 700-750 at the most..... assuming you have really good damage ones. If you are stuck with average your saber runs 600 damage. So, average saber is 600 Max damage and 2.66 speed where average BH weapon is 800 max damage and 2.0 speed. Yet another plus for the BH.
I am sure I can come up with more reasons why I shouldn't waste my time in a fight but these are enough for now. Can anyone comment on this and tell me why I should waste my time fighting someone I probably can't beat because I am at a huge disadvantage from teh start? At this time I don't see any reason why I shouldn't force run away from them (and if I had it Cloak).

ok ill get right on that, hhhmmmm let me see ill just use these pre-cu pearls i saved up from back in the day when i used to be able to get them off of krayts, oh wait (looks at calandar) i started this game one june 20th 2005 so i guess i dont know what pre-cu is and im just stuck at sucking at jedi. case closed

A decent gen 4 saber is 242 max damage and 3.43 speed.

Ouch I crafted a gen 3 with 2.29 spd and 532 max dmg...........and I have yet to start tuning my stash.
