Thread: We need force push and pull

I say they introduce two new basic skills at padawan like force push and pull, to help out with the new snare "fixes" coming our way. If some one snares you and is trying to kite, then a good tactic would be to force pull them with in range for an attack. Or if things get desperate, snare the player, knock down, and push them out of range so you have a chance to retreat and regen if needs be. Obviously there would need to be some limitations to the skill like a 30-45 sec timer before using it again, to prevent special move spam abuse.

Too often players and the devs have a mindset that professions should be balanced with 1 on 1 pvp in mind. This mindset is ruining the game. The benchmark for balance should be determined by the role a profession plays in a group setting. As long as the current mindset continues we will never see uniqueness among the professions, nor will we ever see individuality within a given profession. We will never see the SWG universe expanded as the focus will only ever be balance pass after balance pass after balance pass.

These are among the first skills we saw in the movies, next to saber block or mind trick. The Empire Strikes Back was all ABOUT these skills. They are basic tenets in most other Jedi-based games. What exactly is Force Hit anyway? How about Force Strike? And yet no Force Push or Force Pull?

Sorry for the mini rant, but this has bothered me for a LONG time.

Force Pull would be a reasonable and useful skill to have. Problem is, that would be a GOOD thing to give Jedi. Devs are currently only working on BAD things for Jedi at the moment. Maybe they will give it, but you will be rooted for 30 seconds when ever it's used.
