lo ppl

a guildie of mine was having probs making a decent saber yesterday. so i tried to help her by making one of my own and comparing stats. The results were a bit worrying.

All these saber are made with server best resoucres plus bespin port, pylorrian cake and good tools/stations. i didnt use a WS buff as i was comparing to the saber i made before insp buffs came in. i was using a 12pt ls exp suit, but as im not MLS only 0444 LS i only get 9pts of exp.

first up my regular saber, made about 5-6 weeks after the CU hit. its a 4th gen dbl saber with 7 points in eff and 2 in spd.i exp in large bocks at a time rather than 1 point of exp per run. unloaded its stats are:

unmodded spd 3.4
FC 48
base DPS 74.5
SAC 99


I tried to make a saber like this yesterday, same resources (actually the steel was slightly better due to a recent spawn), same pts in eff and spd. results were:

unmodded spd 3.37
FC 50
base DPS 57
SAC 111


i then tried 1 less point in spd and put it into eff instead

unmodded spd 3.42
FC 49
base DPS 57.6
SAC 105


these werent getting anywhere near as good as my original saber, especially in DPS and SAC. so i tried to make a 4th gen dbl with 9 pts all in dmg, stats came out as:

unmodded spd 3.42
FC 53
base DPS 62
SAC 127


surely this cant be right? a saber i made about 5 weeks post-cu has better base dps even though i didnt exp in dmg comapred to a saber with 9pts in dmg, and the other stats are much better overall. anyone else noticed a diff when crafting LS's?

Bump, glad to know I'm not the only person to notice this. I'd urge people to attempt to craft sabers and see if they are getting lower results than previously.

Hmm, i dont seem to get as many amazings anymore either. One bit of advice, try and get your crafting suit to +25 not just +20. Your will get 10 points to spend instead of just 9.

lol, im doing it the hard way. grinding up to MLS to make a few 12pt sabers and then dropping back again

I recognized something like this as well - I had a mate grinding MLS with me - i finished first and crafted my saber about a month ago - he came a week ago to lend the suit i crafted it with. We both had best ressources, same Exp.Points, Bespin and Pollian. His new crafted MLS Saber + the suit he used (which he hadnt used before) was only slightly bedder then his xxx4 saber he crafted for the Grind. And about 40 DPS worse then the one i crafted 3 weeks before. How can that be?

8 points in eff with just "great" success should give you 101 SAC (and what ever FC is in ratio to it). With all amazing success you get 98 SAC 48 FC.

This is my saber made... oooo.... 2 months ago maybe.

While you results look alitte odd to me... I think they are the same I've had. They may have changed since the first day of CU, but I don't think in the last few publishes.

Depends on the server and materials i guess. I know with an amazing success i have hit 95 sac with 48fc using 8 points (97% eff).

the biggest discrepancy for me shows up in the base dps. how can my normal post-cu saber which has no exp points in dmg have a better dps than a saber crafted yesterday with 9 pts exp in dmg. the diff in spd is only 0.02 and should really affect that big a diff.

Why the hell are you experimentating in speed? I put all my LS exp points in efficency til my saber is 95SAC and 48FC,3.4speed and 145-241 in damage without tunes.If I happen to have any points left after getting 95SAC and 48 FC i put em into damage

well my original saber was made within the first week of unlocking and i was a bit new to saber making. the saber is fine so i keep using it. the tests yesterday i tried to run with the same pts to compare outcomes.

it doesnt really matter what i esp in, its the diff in the resulte

I go full eff and 2 points in speed and with at least one amazing in speed I get 3.37 base 95 sac 48 fc. I've tried using poly cake for assembly without much luck and port for exp but again not much luck. I use a suit that is like +30 ls exp and i'm mls.

Any idea if it's better to exp one by one or in bulk? I generally do 1 pt. at a time.I can't imagine getting all amazings as I generally only get 1 to 3 if lucky.

i posted about this about a month ago or so and all i got were ppl flaming me telling my saber sucks and that i didnt know how to experiment

yes i did notice this i crafted 2 ls 1 with 7 points in speed and one with 7 points in damage

the one with speed experiment is slower but higher damage than the other one,seems its working backwards

I'm not master in anything yet, though am almost full template. I don't get ANY experimentation!? Do you have to have the CAs to experiment?
