Thread: Ideas: Jedi, FRS, GCW
Idea 6)
Jedi, FRS and the GCW (single concept covering all 3 aspects).
"Illiahnus is a remote planet, recently discovered by Imperial Inquisitor Agents. These Inquisitors, answering directly to Lord Vader have informed the Sith Lord that the planet is exceptionally stong with the Force. It is possible the planet was created by the Force itself.
The Emperor does not know of Illiahnus's existance and Vader wishes to keep it that way. But, someone else knows it's there... Secretly Lord Vader began landing troops to secure the world and learn all he could, but shortly after the first troops arrived they were wiped out. It didn't take long to realise Force Sensitives - already drawn from hiding by the Alliance victory against the Death Star - have now been drawn to the world. Jedi in the making, without benefit of expereinced trainers, but potent nonetheless. Vader had no choice but to send in dark jedi to fight them.
A gurrelia war has begun on Illiahnus. The two sides are continuously hunting each other, calling in bounty hunters to aid them as the adundence of the Force on the planet, while imbuing the jedi with great power, makes it difficult for them to sense each other. The planet calls new blood to its surface almost daily. Only time will tell who will prevail. Secretly Lord Vader watches to see if a champion will emerge, an apprentice to stand with him and overthrow the Emperor..."
-=-
Basically, a world (that anyone can go to), where all are permanently overt and Jedi can progress up their force ranking system. Importantly, any benefits from the FRS have no affect on any other world. In order to use the powers gained on the FS planet, a player has to remain there. If a Jedi, for the sake of example becomes a Guardian, they are still able to goto Coronet, but the power is left behind on "Illiahnus" until they return. They are also not permanently overt if off world.
There will be enclaves, temple ruins, quests, pve events (for jedi related loot). But this is a jedi pvp world primarily (probably quite small).
What does this acheive?
Jedi removed from regular PvP without the creation of a seperate PvP system. Jedi can gain great power without dominating the rest of the game, but can also step away from the fighting at the temporary expense of losing that power. The timeline is preserved - there are no jedi in the movies because they are engaged in a private war to secure a Force Sensitive Planet.
Negatives:
Alot of work - Jedi centric. Although anyone could go there and run the events they would be aimed at the higher powered jedi, who would be greatly overpowered vs regular players who would be forced overt on landing.
That's the general concept. Enjoy.

Take a look at my concept (click the link in the Sig) - No planet creation necessary and returns Jedi to hidden status.
FRS to be handled separately...

Too busy putting an "h" into Illianus so it didn't read so easily as (S)illy anus.
/whistlestunelessly
100 looksies and noones got anything to say beyond "my ideas better" or "I didn't read this, it's too long"? /ponder
hmmm...
it was rather Long post ...![]()
sounds complicated.... let me re-read it agai so I can give vaild feedback....
At least he has some ideas and is thinking of how to improve the profression. No need to flame him for that.
Ifyou cant be bothered to read it why go to the effort to reply to it? weird
It was more for comic relief
he does have some great ideas....
hmm..
I see it would solve some issues definatly....
but it only adresses the FRS in partial....
still...beating each other with glowsticks really isn't "content" ...sure it would be fun.... but it would last maybe months..... like PPL going SF in the gcw....
I think we need more then just that..... make more roleplaying stuff like Dark Vs light ...perma aggro to each other anytme anywhere....
and get us the !@#* out of GCW we do not belong there
