Its not even the damage they deal, half the time its finding a way to deal enough damage to them! I dueld a M-swords 4xx4 doc and part fencer TK yesterday, not matter what i did i couldnt get him lower then 700 health, with the 700+ Melee defense 50% armor and 75% armor break, stims that can be used instantly WHILE KDed and the fact that they can heal for almost 2k in one move with a mind cost atleast half ours with regen rates faster then they use it could be considered almost impossiable to kill one of these 1v1 with any template.

Easy awnser is to either increase mind use or decrease combat regen

You would get destroyed with 6000 armor without AB resist by any Pre-cu saber

movement man movement. move in and out of our range, using damage hits (and ALWAYS keeping them armorbroken, even with ab sliced armor), and keep your action above 70%. get them frustrated and overeager. some melee are too good at not letting you interrupt their cob, but with some movement you can get them out of their cautious mind set. once you get them in this state, it all comes down to timing. get them to about 70% health with cob blinking (blinking for at least 4-5 seconds) headh/kd/power/headh can kill them if not send them into a healing cycle.

of course explanations are never really 100% effective, we all know that. there are so many variables.

anyways see bp now you know how much of a difference sac pups make. im guessing critical' got ya pretty hard? well i tied critical' in 1 fight, and beat him in another. the fight i tied him in i forgot to use stabilizers (ill pm you the hilarious excuse) to heal intimidate.

also, critical' is swords/pikes/tk/doc, so its hard to punch through the warcry/intimidate.

not entirely. ive beat most every jedi with a precu saber i fought with non absliced armor, except a select few of the server's best. w/o ab armor i simply couldnt beat tahari', helson, kotopex, garvin, and there is 1 more im forgetting, but with ab armor it was a different story.

How do I deal with this? I don't ever look for a fight with templates that are stronger than mine.

These templates are built by PvP junkies so the best way to beat them is at their own game.

This is why they should make a PvP dedicated server or a dedicated PvE server.

Easy answer is to move Center of Being up to TKM or at least a level 4 box. Personally I would make it be Mastery as dabbler TKs should not have a skill that's equivalent to Aura...I just find this to be absured, especially when you a consider that a Jedi pays in Force. I know not all Jedi have Aura, but most do, and you're pretty much sacrificing one whole line to get it. I do not see why a "normal" profession should have it any easier. Early on, I liked the CU, because I finally thought they toned melee down to the level where it should be...how wrong I was. It's not as bad as pre-CU melee stacking, but I fail to see any "balance"...it's still overpowered in my opinion. I do not think Jedi should be overpowered lords of death and destruction, however, I absolutely believe that anyone stupid enough to get into melee combat with a Jedi should not expect to come out alive.

So true, but the nice thing about aura is it doesnt have a warmup timer!

Just looking for feedback on how some of you have been faring versus the dreaded Sword-Doc combo, with supplemental melee skills.

I am MLS/MDEF/Heal 3000/Enh 0003. We have a few phenomenal meleers on our server who are taking down nearly all the Jedi, of different templates.

I have a pretty nice Pre-CU saber. Before patch 19 (Mind costs and AI snare), these same people weren't a problem for me. But I am now trying to get my head around new strategies.

I don't do enough damage to them to put them on thedefensive with their massive healing abilities. And they hit hard enough to put me on the force heal/stims/AI defensive. I am on booster/tea/wine buff crystals, but once I am forced to AI and snared, they can pretty much kite me and wait me out. If I don't run AI,I am pretty much toast since they can outheal and outdamage me. Of course they have uber AB sliced armor and nice weapons.I eventually succomb to low mind-low force.

How do some of you guys deal with this?

Lol it's still me.

Really it's like a whole new game with these changes. I don't have much of a problem with most folks, but with these handful of meleers, it's just not a good situation. It could be my template, like how Powers rock CMs specifically. These guys have us pvp veterans scratching our heads.

I am humble enough to come here to ask for suggestions in a time like this
