Im hunting with a CH, that has a pet that is ungrouped. Will this give me vis? our group is split on weather or not it will.

NO, you will not get vis from NPC creatures of any kind. You get vis from humanoid NPC and player characters only.

Pets take on the faction of the owner, so when ungrouped pets have the same penalty of factional NPCs or PCs ungrouped

Think about it this way. What do you hunt animals or npc? Animals. you don't get vis from any animal only NPC's and players. How would an animal call into the empire and report you?

How would a non-verbal primitive Dantari? But they do...


I think the general consensus is that ungrouped pets (animal or droid) do not give vis.


Ungrouped pet = probably no vis but not 100% certain

Grouped pet = no vis.


Not a tough decision when you put it that way hehe.

Unfortunatly, I think he is correct here. Pets will give vis if ungrouped.

Their not "non-verbal". There is a mission from the imp outpost where a ST commander sends you to give a reward to a dantari who is helping them and he says some stuff when you give it to him but you just cant understand it.

What if the owner is not factioned? (i.e. neutral)
