Thread: How a good group can save a jedi

Grinding jedi usually get attacked by BH while grinding. In most cases, their groups only watch. They shouldn't.
Chances are that the BH is CM. In this case, he'll be using area heals too. This can be used against him.
A groupmate should aggro a big pack of animals with a crappy weapon and a spin attack so he gets low aggro on them. Then pull the animals to the BH. If everything goes right, he'll area heal, and get the aggro of the animals. This is deadly.
and is it legal? sounds to me like its griefing... forcefully pulling mobs to attack someone who is not affecting you.
When will jedi realise that BH are part of the Jedi package... unpleasant though they might be.

Sounds like kiting to me. Got to agree, sounds like the BH should be reporting you if you do that.
As to unpleasant things being part of the package... 10 min shuttle waits were unpleasant... ![]()

well don't do area heals if you don't want to gain healing aggro

Training critters on somebody else (which you are doing) is explicitely prohibited by the EULA. You can be warned / suspended / banned for it.
However, nobody stops the Jedi who is fighting the BH from running next to the lair a group is spinning (bringing BH to critters is not training, the other way around is). The problem is, most BHs wont follow since they are ranged fighters.

not talking about getting healing agro.. talking about luring mobs towards the bh.
Well, if one is out in the wilderness, one should expect vicious animals to attack at any moment. Sounds like part of the package of trying to hunt your mark in the wild. Who's to say other group members aren't simply trying to continue gaining xp? Also, if area heals draw other agro in the area, then that sounds like part of the CM "package" as well.
Area heals surely generate aggro when you heal someone a mob is in combat with (even if said mob isn't attacking that person at the time). If the Jedi isn't attacking the mobs, and neither is the BH, then they are essentially just having a seperate fight.
If however the Jedi shot the lair themselves and thereby got aggro from everything nearby, then the BH area heal would probably be seen by the game as a "friendly act" and given healing seems to generate mad aggro - the BH would get attacked.
Either way, its probably an exploit.
From the Rules and Policies Page: "You may not intentionally circumvent the player-versus-player combat features and cause another player to die, such as by "training" them.

Not when said "vicious animals" aren't aggressive.

The original poster said it was to help out his friend, so I guess he's to say.

I'd personally never use an area heal in PVP anyway. Wouldn't want to risk giving a Jedi a taste of that old fashioned bacta goodness.
Training is defined as pulling/leading a hostile NPC or creature along behind you and attempting to get it to attack another player who does not desire that engagement"
That being said, bacta spray in and of itself doesn't draw aggro unless the mob already has aggro on you.
