Well I'd like to start by saying I've been playing since 8/03 with dreams of being a MBH. By October I finally realized my dream, after countless hours of chasing marks 4k on foot and cant attack them or them being stuck in a wall, I made MBH. Its true the village grind is far easier than the previous Jedi system which should have been left in place to keep Jedi numbers down and keep them rare IMO. I tried one holo back in the day, Musician.8 days in a cantina and i swore off holo grinding.Which a lot of people also did.Can you imagine spending countless hours just crafting and going thru as many as 30 professions to unlock? BE, DE, Chef, Artisan,.....I couldnt do it. Much respect to all those that had the resolve and desireto do it. So i started the much easier village grind out of boredom and the need for content. I unlocked just before the CU (like a day before) and had been pearl hunting for about 3 weeks leading up to that point and had about 20-30 premiums for my jedi. So like a fool I sat there and tuned them all and got like 4-5 decent 100+ -9s. No perfect tunes just decent ones.

This is where the nonsense starts. I grind my jedi to Mdef/saber 0044/enhancer 4004/healer 4000.I could take a good amount of damage but my saber hit for crap even tho I had a 4th gen double round 640 max.SOE decides in its wisdom to nerf sabers and put the KD in the master box.(PULL) Most Jedi needed that KD as did I so off to Msaber I go. Not to mention AI gets nerfed (PULL)So I decide to go Msaber and drop Mdef. So for fun I go Powers 0400 and it was great fun. But let me say with all the cloaker crying going on, once you get rooted you're dead. I dont know why all the crying about cloak is going on? I could only cloak and uncloak and attack so many times before someone smart would root me trying to run and recloak and then its off to the cloner for me. I accepted this weakness without much complaint and i got killed plenty of times for my lack of defenses because cloak was fun. But here comes the cloak nerf (PULL) which i think is so unnecessary do to the lack of defenses most cloakers have to begin with. Cloak is not over powered or unfair. Its a evasive technique meant for stealth attacks and escape. So a few people really learn to use it well and BANG!! The crying starts. So now I hit for good damage but im getting the crap kicked out of me if i get rooted because the trade off for cloak is usually in defense. Cant get FA cuz it was horribly broken at the time. Adding a snare to cloak is the dumbest thing i ever heard of. If nobody can see you what does it matter how fast you're going? Just raise the safe distance from 20m to 30-40m. Problem solved. And who says i gotta stay there and get killed? Because some dumb BH or Jedi isnt fast enough to root me as i make my escape? I keep hearing the term I WIN applied to this technique. In that situation nobody wins. I didnt win I survived. So becauseI survived and you didnt get your precious chance to kill me that means cloakers get the bat? Thats one of the most defeatest stances Ive ever heard on any particular profession complaint. I cant catch him so nerf it?

Anyway with the nerf coming I drop cloak and go back to Defender 4440. Now for those that complained about cloak now im forced to go defender again and am 10-0 in BH encounters since. That includes the FOTM MCM/MBH temps. So now I dont run. I stay there and kick your faces in. During all this I never gave up my search for premium pearls to upgrade my saber. So now I finally get my saber up to 1.2 630-716704 dps 97 SAC 10 FC. My best saber so far and it took months and at least 50-80 mil worth of crappy tunes and over priced premiums to make it. And maybe it still doesnt compare to a Pre-CU saber but so what! Premiums are out there.And you dont have to be uber rich to get them. Just determined to make money ( which is the easiest thing in this game I think). We all have a alt toon. Be smart and make them a crafter. Chefs make millions a week. So dont cry about being broke because you used your toon onsomething other than making it a money toon. Jedi was always expensive. Pre- CU and Post CU. We all knew that going in. The difference isnt pearls or a lack thereof. Its preparedness. I knew I was gonna go jedi so i prepared for it. Alot of the new jedi unlocked without a dime to their name and not one pearl saved. So now I gotta get my saber nerfed(PULL) because you jumped into the pool witout seeing how deep it was? If jedi get nerfed down to the level of all other profs then i might as well drop it and quit. The whiners will never stop no matter how much you give them. When is it enough? There will never be a balance. Some profs will always be better than others. So find one thats good for you and live with it. Im tired of getting my strings pulled and jumping from temp to temp because of the constant nerfing. This is my 3rd full temp and I hate grinding but the Puppet strings keep putting me in a position where I have to if I want to survive any form of combat in this game.

My saber is the last string to pull. Nerf that and I might as well give SOE my money to ram a pole up my A$$. We pay to have fun not to have months/years of hard work flushed down the tubes because people cry to the Puppet Masters. Im not the best player but i try to learn from every fight I get into and try to make adjustments for the next time. I think alot of us should try it instead of always crying when things dont goour way. Balance issues arent destroying this game.....whiners and complainers are!! But unfortunately those are the voices that the Puppet Masters heed. I hope you all get your act together before you put this once great game in the toilet for us all!

I made a flow chart of all the professions and all the items (armor/foods/weapons/droids/resources/etc) and decided after my first Holo said Creature Handler In December 03 which I had already partly mastered I decided to Holo grind my way. And I managed to get the lastprofession done, the nastiest one I always figured to be my silent that I saved for last Bio Engineer my profession 32 done a week before publish 10. Of course I need to change something so I had to fill my Luck tree I wanted i the third village phase, but that gave me time to get the needed xp doing dna sampling. Ouch eh?

But even with all the time spent I was happy for it was worth it up to the CU. And my 2nd character I made into a loot hunter for pearls and RIS armor components and really was playing my alt more often than my jedi since my jedi was a journey to use on my own free time at my lesure. Cloak was the one thing I did like about the CU. But the NPCs getting mind wiped and the level system and crafting caps just seem to through a blanket on the fire that was a passion for this game.

How can you say you've lived life if you've never danced?
Well I do remember Han having a one piece suit made out of carbonite but it weighed a ton. Still it didnt require any ironing and was very wear resistant.
