Thread: Jedi lets not fight w/one another!!!

I am a pre/post cu jedi. I have seen many changes come to this game in the past but now it is worst than ever. There is a split b/t jedi now. We have pre-cu and post-cu jedi. The bickering on these forums has increased and now we are at a point where we don't care if a fellow jedi is nerfed or about anyone other than ourselves. I don't know when this started or who started itbut it seems that on these forums I see this argument alot:
I am a pre-cu jedi so I should alwaysbe better than you. I had it harder than youand that is why.
I am a post-cu jedi andif I can'tbe just as powerful asyou then they should nerf your pre-cu pearls. It will bring back balance to the game.
Now I think all jedi have to agree that these post-cu jedi have hadto put up with alot. It has been 5 months since premium pearls have dropped, but also pre-cu jedi have put up with many things in the past to. Why can't both pre and post-cu jedi come to agreement that premium pearls need to start dropping again. Lets not fight with one another over the fact that the devs have taken so long to fix it. Now on another point, I do have a 700 damage saber that I worked very hard to build. If you think that I am doing this to stay powerful well my template is master powers with some saber which we all know is the weakest jedi vs jedi template. I am fighting to keep my pearls cause I can't go through the pearl grind again. I do not have the time anymore and just can't do it. I have no problem with pearls dropping again andhope it is fixed soon but pleaselets stop thethreads calling nerfs oncurrent pearls. It does not help pre or post-cu jedi if this happens. It will only make the jedi community as a whole weaker.
First, and most important, fix the broken speed cap on Sabers. This is HUGE. The only way to effectively increase your DPS, is to expermiment in speed, thus lowering your BASE speed. The problem with this, is it also produces a saber with LOWER overall damage, so the results are essentially the same. In fixing the broken saber speed, it will ALSO correct the broken speed CAs for sabers. With both of these fixes, Jedi would be able to hit harder because more EXP points can be devoted to damage AND they would be able to hit faster, thus having a DPS comparable to most higher end weapons.
Second, stop the Jedi infighting. By doing this, we greatly reduce the chances of one Jedi Discipline getting nerfed in the name of "balancing". I understand the frustration. You aren't as strong as you want to be, so you develope resentment. This resentment turns into anger, which is vented in a non constructive fashion.
Third, Stop all of this pre-CU, Post-CU crap. Jedi are Jedi are Jedi. WHO CARES when you got it? Does that translate into anything of value? Is going around touting "I holo- grinded" suppose to magically make you stronger or your opinion that much more worthy? Does the fact that some Jedi are patch 9 or before give them the right to be smug to those who followed? Yeah it took longer to grind it... so what.. you were infinitely stronger DURING your grind.
By contrast, does going around crying "I'm post-CU" supposed to magically make a flawless pearl appear in your inventory? Does the fact that some Jedi are post-CU give them the right to be smug to those who are more senior in the profession? Yeah, you are alot weaker as an end result and during your grind... so what, you got your template in 1/4 of the time.
Summary: My post has two points, but actually only one. Fix a couple, but very important broken mechanics AND stop the old vs new "who's better" peeing contest. After all of your wheel-spinning, both sides end up at the exact same place. Both sides are Jedi. Instead of arguing ego, how about trying to be more constructive and objective in an effort to get our profession fixed. Not made "stronger", that is subjective, but what's broken, fixed.

This reminds me of when Yoda was explaining fear to young Anakin in the council chambers.

I would love to agree with you but man... look at this now.. if your pre cu then you know what a grind is.. (when you give somthing away the worth becomes null and so does the effort and sterotype with it... these are just facts.. period).
I would love to say Jedi is hard and not a easy class to achieve but.....lol its a joke now and its drawing (sorry new guys just facts).. some people that it did not before, is this good or bad? Well, not sure. I can tell you that alot of the people on my server thinking a month is to long to grind Jedi tells you somthing then.. you can see where we are now.
What gets me is people mad they get killed by a BH and making it sound like its hard to grind that penalty out.. almost funny.
Man we have just lost so much from what this profession was and its just so sad... it really is. We had so much pride and caring, we had it hard and the respect to match it.. now.... bah, mere shadows and it's getting worse yet again.
Some new guy the other day telling me I cheated to get my Knight because there is none... also my whopping 25 badges is about par for the course.
Iskareot, I am sorry, but this logic used to throw hatred out to other Jedi who you feel "hve it way too easy"...Keep in mind, back when FRS was still live, the FRS grind was meant to be even LONGER than the jedi grind was then... But folks found a way to speed it up to make it tremendously easy to complete. From knight to master was meant to take YEARS, but some did it in DAYS by fight-clubbing. But the reasons mostused for fight-clubbing was "they are doing it, so now we have to as well to be able to compete." And now, because the newer Jedi are being able to grind faster thanyou feelthatthey should, THEYare the ones to be hated?
I know, not EVERY FRS Jedi fight-clubbed. Just as not every post CU Jedi used the respec/double xp or the Ryatt trails to AFK grind. But it doesn't stop you from labelling all post-CU jedi into the one category. So by your reasoning, shouldn't we call you a fight-clubber, even if you never did, just because you were in the FRS at a time when Fight-clubbing was commonplace?
