Thread: repercussions of unavoidable cloak nerf

with the upcoming ranger changes and changes to all stealth moves, and the devs statement that force cloak is intended to be an offensive first strike move i wonder what powers will be like now. i can accept the new changes to the rules and adapt my pay accordingly, no big deal. however the big deal for powers, particulary master which i am, is that we are now a first strike template rather than a sneaky hit and run template. again this is fine and i can adapt. the problem with this is that master powers with its zip bars and slow speed and low dmg and higher action and force costs than sabers makes it very difficult to fulfill this new roles as a first striker, basically now if i hit first and uncloak im rooted so they know right where to aim and im slow so ill just get out damaged.
so my question is when will the force wielder class be changed to support this new idea put forth by the devs, and again this is more for the master weilders because it will be completely different when the ranger reamp goes live and the stealth changes take effect. we are not viable in this new vision of force powers.

yeah classifying powers as a first striker currently is a joke. I hope they fix it, but I doubt it.

Its only a "first strike" if you are MLS that has dabbled to get cloak.... otherwise a M. Powers,Jedi just isn't equipped for the first strike. If the opponent isn't dead in the first 10 seconds... the Powers Jedi is toast.

Yep, this is what's gonna happen. I love my MLS/MP/Healer temp, but with the healing nerf and now this, a respec to MLS/Defender something/Healer something/cloaker might be in order. It'll definitely be the best temp PvP now.

That is whats really pissing me off... its forcing everyone to take freaking M. Defender to stay viable.

As it is Jedi are nerfed to nonexistence in the first place, now, they are going to nerf jedi some more, Bravo SOE, for making this game unplayable for jedi, and for making me hate this game even more.
Its not enough that we get hunted 2 or 3 times an hour, now you want to force us to fight them too. YAY SOE. I love losing 400k xp every 15 minutes. ANd i know what some of you will say, you dont like to get hunted dont get vis, you chose to be a jedi, and you knew you would be hunted, learn your template , yadda yadda yadda.
What you full templates, pre cu jedi dont seem to understand, that Lightsabers are broke post CU, and its damn hard not to get vis. Every where you go , there is some damn Noob asking you," can I join your group" giving you tons and tons of vis. The reason I went jedi , because its END GAME proffesion. After jedi, there is nothing else.
Im so glad I quit. I used to love this game, but now, its just not fun anymore. After oct 14 you wont have to hear me rant anymore.

No , I would rather delete all my toons than put em up on EBAY, EBAY jedi/accounts are another reason this game is so fracked up.
