Thread: Complainers just need to be euthanized, they will complain til SWG ends

Must be his first MMO ![]()
Other games are dead b/c of things like this.

hehe... its funny. The same peopel who are complaining about CU2 (of which we know very little about), are the same people who were complaining about the CU a couple of days ago, and were the ones complainign about the state of combat pre-CU.
Some poeple just dont want to be happy.
You ever think they were complaining about the CU because it is of lesser quality when compared to pre cu, but seeing the new CU they realize the old CU was better then the new one?

Well for one they are ending the forced PvP with the BH system. Thats a plus. Secondly they are encouraging more interaction and dependacy on other players. That is the heart of any multiplayer game. And it never hurts when the company takes the time to reward their long time customers with special rewards. Not every veteran gets these rewards. And new Jedi will appear to be just that, NEW. Veteran Jedi will be seen as the new Knights in essence. And it also seems that since Jedi will no longer be "Alpha" in nature, the popularity will be lessened making Jedi less popular than when it meant something to attain the rank. The only thing I am not clear on is the ability to switch professions seems to be going away and this bothers me only cause I don't want to delete a character with friends and items if I want to play another profession down the road. Seriously though, no one here is playing the same game this started as or even the same game they started at any time.

I read through the FAQ and have been playing SWG for a year and a half now. These changes are what really will make SWG feel like star wars and I welcome it. I actually might be able to play my Jedi toon in peaceit seems, veteran Jedi actually get recognition and a boost in attributes over newer Jedi.
And for once the game shifts focus completely on interaction with other players instead of everyone off doing their own thing all the time. Indeed many players would just wander the worlds with nothing to do and people rightly complained about lack of content.
Lastly, there isn't a player here that can say they are still playing the same game as when they started. Everything has been in a state of change since the week after you started. It's just the nature of the beast and seriously either ask your veternarian to put you to sleep or quit paying, get a hobby and move on.
You completly missed the point. The point isnt that the game changed and "whaaaa-I-dont-want-it-to-change". Its about "Hey we are giving you this nice 30K resource deed to buy up avian meat....ah sorry Docs no longer craft...or Hey we are giving nice vet rewards such as a ADK...ah sorry we are taking away item decay. I of course can go on and on....
It about ethics of business. Its one thing to promote and evolving world and it another to specifically promise to change a part of the game and then do the complete opposite. Its about our Correspondents and vet Players that have busted their butts for the last 2 years making Guides and tips for playing proffesions that after two years are now gone. The original CU was supposed to fix combat. Its about introducing an expanision promising exciting aspects for Jedi just to find out that the exp you grinded for 2 years a noob can get in 2 days running quests.
Someone on another thread called it sucker economics. You hook somone promising that your product does X. The person buys it and finds that X has problems. The seller states that he will fix the problem if you buy more of X. The person buys more of X and finds out that the seller completly changes how it does X. So you relearn it and have some problems with it. The irratated seller takes it back, glances and that and tweeks something and now you get it back and it no longer does X but it does Y....the seller says that Y is better than X.
The point you missed......You bought the product for X NOT Y.
When I first bought SWG 2 1/2 years ago I bought it because it was a complicated, superdiverse, RP/Combat game with several differenent proffessions with literally dozens of combinations of each. That has changed. You now have less than 10 proffesions and SWG is becoming more or less and elaborate first person shooter that you pay 15 dollars a month to play.
Not me. The issue is the lies and/or deciet to the player base. Go to each profession forum and read the heartfeltletters of apology from the Correspondants that were blindsided JUST LIKE US that loyally fought for each profession to log on and find that all they fought for was for naught. You tell them that they should just be put to sleep for whining......
Yes this is just a game. But like Mike Tyson, it could have went down in history as the best. Now it will be remembered as what it COULD have been.
