lets though the skills out the window and turn them in to 3 catoagrys + your saber progression (a jedi's saber is his life do not lose it, use it)
stats - your stats IE how good defence accuracy speed ect.
attacks - force and saber attacks
enhancments - heals or enhancment
saber - base saber attacks (you can unlock advanced attacks for the attacks branch if you select a full tree in one saber skill)
each move in a part of the tree contains 3 advancments of a move, and each move has a SP cost. the base cost is 1 inproved is 2 and advanced is 3. (you will follow me if you play KoToR)
the sp cost is low but it is only for 1 skill or set of stats
Exsample
saber attacks 1sp = unlocked saber knockdown, saber stun, saber blind, saber bleed, saber dizzy & saber
improved saber attacks 2sp = unlocked saber armorbreak 2sp, saber improved knockdown. inproved saber states (blind dizzy stun bleed)
advanced saber attacks 3sp = unlocked saber adv armorbreak 3sp & adv saber powerattack, saber throw.
now to get advanced saber throw you need to have all saber attacks unlocked and paid for saber throw & improved saber knockdown. if you only have saber knockdown your saberthrow becomes improved instead of advanced. and cost the same 3sp
same applys to all force moves but it will be a hard process to connect each attack and find out what attack/power improves each attack base effect.
this will make jedi more vaird and harder to find the perfect godlike template and abuse the system. but it also means we have more fun finding out and each tree is easyer to get thus exp loss will not hurt as much.
100k cost to spend 1sp i should think
that means 25mil exp needs to be grinded to get anywhere near full template
how about them apples and you think that hurts well it don't cos you won't care your grinding your a$$ off atm this way it becomes more fun for us and we won't b!tch about bounty hunter exp loss as much cos what 400k exp loss, thats like 4 lv1 skills or 2 lv2 skills or 1 lv3&lv1 skill ect

Since game became KOTOR Onlince (because of ...), this system fits to SWG. Plus I'm pretty sure %90 of SWG players love KOTOR. SoI agree with you Gray (omg I really do ?

I really liked it, too.
If I could change one thing, I would eliminate all master-level boxes and push the master-level skills to appropriate level 4 boxes.
The KOTOR skill tree essentially does that: a large number individual skill lines that you could pick and choose without making huge sacrifices based upon the box we are forced to live within.
The current Jedi tree is cursed with D&D and every RPG that followed. Look at our trees:: Druid (healer) Magic User (power), Paladin (LS), Cleric (enhancer)...hmmm...
Let's get out of the box and let everyone do whatever they want. The FOTM would finally be put to rest, regardless of the buff/heal game.
