One way I know of is to load up one Character, ATl - TAB to desktop, press Ctrl - Alt - Delete and look to the processes tab, then look for a process for SWG that is about 7mb, get rid of that by ending it, then you will be able to load your other character.

Windows XP of course

I am not at home to verify that this works, but you need to create a file called "user.cfg" in your StarWarsGalaxies folder. Then, edit it and put in:

[SwgClient]

allowMultipleInstances=true

That is supposed to be it.

correct....but even when doing this, in xp, I have found I must use two seperate users, then alternate between them.

THIS IS CASE SENSITIVE.

and, yes, you have to have two accounts to do this and you will get major lag if you don't have high-high end computer when the characters get near each other. (think dantooine back when it was like broken, if you were on a server with that problem)

Ok. I have now tested this and it works like a charm. Yes, you do need two accounts to use it...there is NO way to use both your Jedi and alt from the same account at the same time.

As for "high-end" system, I have an AMD Athlon XP 2600+ (1.9GHz), NVidia FX 5700 256MB, 2GB of 333MHz RAM, anda Sound Blaster Audigy. I can run both accounts with little impact to either, even when next to each other. Makes trading way easy. I encourage anyone with multiple accounts to look into this, as it is much cheaper than buying extra computers. :biggrin
