Thread: The days of soloing an MMORPG are finally over!!
/disagree what about those of us who play in off peak hours? the whole level system has ruined the game, everything is either to easy, or too hard. what if i dont want to be grouped ? we used to be abole to play the game, at anytime.
now i have to wait, for a good, high level group to do anything. hence i can longer, log and play. whats good about this? you sound like one of those players who cant ever do anything for yourself, always running aroud trying to get people to give you a free ride through this quest or that.
it was a clue to this when you started crying about smuggler missions. heck, jedi need missions, we have nothing once the grind is done. nothing.

I used to do both long before I became Jedi and I knew even then that the game was broke. Now it seems like the developers have implemented what should have been all along, a game that requires interaction and support, hence a mulitplayer game. I think they got it right here. They still need to add smuggler missions and speed up Jedi powers, but this is a step in the right direction imho.
I agree! It will bring some life & tactics back into this game.

This is not strictly true - the chevron bosses like Necrosis I'd agree on. But solo play is still vaible if you pace yourself.

You don't have to. Just hunt lower end mobs.
Luke solo'd Vader and a Rancor
and Han Solo'ed Boba while blind ![]()
Hehe kidding...I agree and disagree..one I'm glad to see that people are grouping more and doing stuff together alot, it is an MMO afterall and the point is to interactbut on that same argument I don't like to see that it's becoming the only viable option...I remember arguing looong ago that I always thought Rancor and Krayts should be unkillable..as in unattackable too, it's a silly notion someone can punch a Krayt to death...or a Rancor for that matter too
. I guess my problem with slowly being forced towards grouping for everything is that I rp 100% of my online time...and if none of my regular group is available I don't want to have to go to dant and group with those there (no offense to you guys, I just don't play out of character). I also thought it was kind of stupid that group members can't help a Jedi being attacked by a BH...or even an overt faction member, I hate the "Oh look someones killing my friend lets sit and watch" thing, not immersive at all..and kinda unumaginative, I think the TEF thing needs re-working at least the GCW one. I mean...if your playing a rebel colonel (or Imperial) and you come across a base thats being attacked by a player...all you can do is drive on by, unless he's SF in which case you can run off to find a recruiter and hope he's there when you get back...thats real immersive too...
If they are forcing us more towards grouping (and they are) then they need change how groups operate....and while legendary things like Krayt dragons should take a group to take down there is no way in heck I think a stormtrooper or a geonosian should require a group...the nova troops are silly...where were they in EP 4? *ponders* oh right! there were none *peers at devs* I will be glad to no longer see herds of dead krayts...but honestly it bugs me more that people can build houses in there and have..*sigh* another lovely oversight on the devs part..POI's should not be able to have houses build on them! *mutter*
Anyway rambling now...but yes I like that things are being scaled to a more group oriented role, though they are starting to show signs of overkilling which I see as becoming a big problemwhile totally ignoring the other professions out there that need attention...I'm still curious as to why Ranger needs master scout (the ONLY elite prof that needs a novice mastery) and something like doctor doesn't require more than minimal training.....and they wonder why hospitals are empty!!!

/agree
That's the problem I've been having alot lately- I log in, no one's around and no group, I log out... what's the point.
