Its all about how you play your template . Has nothing to do with what trees in enhancer or defender you have . Pick what ya like and learn to fight with it !

No offense but thats an overused statement, and untrue.


Ok, so it doesnt matter? ..hmm, ok ill go Defender 0100, LS 0010, Powers 3001 ....well you get the idea.

This is pretty close to my template and its the template I'm considering changing to. Right now I have 4-3-4-0 defender and I can take a fairly good beating having aura and infussion going. I tanked 4 85 night sisters and managed to kill them all and survive very well with little problems. IMO the only real benefit from Master Def. is IA and thats mostly only good for pve.

What you gain at first choice:

- + to innate armor, valor for ranged combat,+ to defenses (maybe broken, butwill be fixed hopefully)and avoid incap.


What you loose at first choice:

- force run,+500 toheal.


You decide, but for me personally answer is clear.

Don't forget that you also lose Force speed with the first choice, so with a poor LS, having the extra speed = better DPS.


I've been the second template for a while now because I didn't farm pearls pre-cu, so my DPS is low compared to other pre-cu Jedi. I've considered the first template, if I get some better tunes before the new expansion, sotanking Mustafar mobs becomes easier.Imay trade in some defender for more enhancer(for PvP)but I'm pretty happy with the second template, since I mainly PvE and don't really like PvP much.

I've been struggling with this, too.


My current logic...please point out the flaw...is that MLS/DEF 4440/ENH 3002/Heal 4000 will be great once the FRS is back since saber block will mitigate the blocking benefit from MDEF. As it is, I think it is already quite viable.


I hate the idea of losing FR and force speed by going MLS/MDEF...and ENH 0002 seems so critical...


How big a difference is DEF 4440 versus MDEF against the BHs? I'm MDEF, now, and find that I can survive every encounter...even if that means rooting and running when my force gives out.


My main gripe with myLS0404/MDEF template is that my DPS is just a little too slow and inaccurate, even with food, so I'm banking on better output without a big difference in damage received if I drop MDEF for MLS/DEF4440...seems like I would be more effective...

Well AI isnt much good anymore unless you like tanking uber mobs in PVE. Depending on how hard Mustafa is it might be worth being a Master Defender though ...the inate armour is nice and valor is fun against loads of high end ranged npc's.


The second choice is prolly the best as you have covered pretty much all your bases and have most of the essential skills.
