Dueling is a tradition in most MMORPGs. It's the only safe way for new players to get a "taste" for pvp.

dueling is good - Remove the DeathBlow from duels so jedi can't DB there buddy and cheat a BH out of a kill. dueling is like practice GCW. its very helpful.

Im sorry but this would be a really stupid idea. Its great practice to duel guildies and friends in town to make sure your upto scratch for pvp, plus what would you do when you just want to goof around and not pvp properly?


I wouldnt want to swap factions everytime just to duel somebody

removing duel is stupid. Leave it. Its fun to duel people. If you dont like it...dont do it.


To the OP, im not saying you are trying to do this...but im sick of people trying to nerf **edit** that doens't affect them.


Personally i like to RP duel a bit. For instance this one time i was in the IMP prison on dath messing around killing DJKs...when 2 rebels come in killing all the stromtroopers. So i start screaming "rebel scum" or something to that effect and i start trying to duel the rebels. They accept and we get in a short fight, i killed them both and i was on my way. but its fun stuff like that, that i think they should leave in the game. I wouldn't want to have to be overt just to PvP.


You know how many overt deaths i have because i loaded at a starport and got offed...or took a piss or got a drink and got offed. Strictly Overt PvP is stupid...sorry.

I am mixed on this my self, I hate going to the major citys and seeing Jedi and Non-Jedi standing around in big groups near the starports fighting each other. From a RP stand point there is no need for this. From a player stand point I think that dueling is fun at times, but I wish it were moved away from the citys somehow.The GCW needs a boost of some kind, maybe this would do it.

Ya, that wouldnt work much. Basically if you wanted to test your skills against a friend, you would have to jump to the opposite faction and then both go overt.
