I read these forums to keep up to date with the forthcoming changes that affect the game itself and, for me, the beloved jedi profession. My template is LS 0400, MDEF, ENH 2004, HEALER 4100 and POWERS 0400 so yes I have been affected by both the AI nerf and the rumoured Force Cloak.

I am a European player on a US server and find that because of the time I am able to play that I have to do most things solo or wait until guild members wake up. I also believe that it should be my choice if and when I decide to engage in PvP against bounty hunters (nobody is paying me to add content for other players) so as a result my template was designed around these factors.

There are times when I look at the damage output of a MLS and become envious of this or the use of force run 2 and 3 and think that would be nice. At the end of the day nobody made my template decisions for me and if I would rather have a different template composition then I can either use my respec or I can grind out the xp to get the skills I want.

So far this is common sense but unfortunately it is not something that appears to be to common on this forum board it seems to be the norm for everybody to moan about the skills that other people have with the aim of getting them nerfed instead of getting those skills themselves. If your going to be a MLS MDEF don’t moan about lack of force run.....change your template.

If we carry on the way we are the profession of jedi will become extinct because there will be nothing in it that you cant get from other professions (with the exception of the lightsaber). Jealousy, greed and hatred fill these boards and eventually over time jedi will be no more and we will have destroyed ourselves.

So the next time you are about to post about something that you wish you had, stop and go and get it or at least try to find a constructive solution that benefits everybody.

As far as cloak is concerned a snare is the easy option for the devs (in fact almost bordering on laziness) the skill itself does need to change because there are things that can be done that should not be able to be done. Personally Ispend time travelling (on foot) cloaked with force run activated and when im low on force I hit meditate and cloak after it. The skill itself is fine what is broken is the way that it interacts with the AI and the game mechanics. If I attempt to interface with an npc, activate a control panel or loot a chest in the dwb you should have to deactivate cloak first (you have to do this at the moment to buy a ticket from a shuttle port). Cloak should not draw agro and should not work against droids (they have no mind to trick)

As long as these factors are addressed who cares if someone can use the skill for reconicence what difference does it make to them if I can run around an area and check it out or travel around city streets unseen.

If the skill is so good get it yourselves.

Let the flames begin

Very good post. THe jedi population seems to be filled with those who have sith like interiors but display a light jedi exterior. The dark side fills these forums and sadly to say I have sometimes fallen into the seduction of the power of the dark side. It's post like yours that keep me centered and allow me to resist the evil that lurks in these forums.

I am not one to call nerfs on anyone, never have and never will. Sometimes though, the devs make mistakes and allow certain abilities to go live unbalanced. The can take a while before they get around to fixing it. Once they finally do and when it becomes a matter of that ability having been overpowered or doing things that was unintended, it results in a rebalance, but the jedi community immediately calls it a nerf. They again as I said were tainted by the dark side and felt that because they tasted power, that they should always have it. You can desire it all you want, but that doesn't mean you have a right to have it. It's often better for the game that these issues are balanced. Each person interpretation of what abilities are good or bad is simply a matter of playstyle and choice. It's the same mindset of two guys, one likes his family van and the other likes his flashy sports car......fact of the matter is both will get you to where your going, just at different rates of speed. since everyone wants things as fast and easy as possible (mainly american's, and yes I'm american born and raised), we all get upset when the easy stuff gets taken away from us.I always try to get people to understand that just becuase you have something or can do something in this game, doesn't mean it was always intended to be that way nor is it always gonna be that way. If the game didn't change in any facet, then we could expect to not see many things related to abilities and how they work change. But when many parts of the game changes, so does each ability that is affected by that change. You may not like it, you may petition to revert it back to a previous state, but fact is that it's gonna change however temporary or permanent it may be....you have to adjust and move on. The person who can't adjust will never be success or happy with anything.

The problem isn't that adjustments need to be made, but that these "adjustments" have been continuous for the last two-odd years. Yes, nerfs are necessary at times but it's pretty darned hard to accept when just about every change is a nerf. The CU was the Grandmother of All Nerfs, and yet we've still had a steady stream of nerfs since then... When does it stop? When we all are reduced to throwing stones at gnorts and shouting, "Die!"?

When the Gnorts Forcerun 3 over and pulls out a light saber and now beats you with it. Hittting for over2500 damage!
