Thread: Is there any benefit a jedi can have from defeating a BH that cannot be abused?

Well the system is already abused the way it is, I don't think you could ever introduce anything that people won't abuse.
how is it abused now? splitting 200k creds between the BH and jedi is pretty dumn and thats the ONLY thing that can be abused as it is, so i don't understand what kind of abuse you are talking about.
and thats not true i don't think.
we have CAs, we have maroj melons. If we were rewarded with one, we'd always abuse the system, if we were rewarded with the other, we'd never abuse it. Lets make an equation for abuse probability.
y = Abuse coefficient
a = desireability of item
b = relative usefulness of item
x= difficulty in aquiring item
t = time necessary to acquire item
n = number of steps neededfor a finished item
important laws:
t does not equal x
20 < b < 50, Items that would only be useful to have once are automatically 50
20 < a < 80
40< x < 60
1< t < 10
n is never less than 1
The key to those numbers is in their relativity to each other
y = (a * b)/( n * x)- ( x *t )/( a )
the key is to find a medium reward to make the desirability and usefulnessrise, mitigated by the number of steps to get it and the difficulty of each step
if you had an item desirable or usefull out of those bounds, nothign would matter and people would get it no matter what. the key is interpreting the kinds of items that fall in thosebounds and how difficult is difficult
now, we have bio linking.
say each unique bounty hunter you kill generates a bio-linkeditem in your inventory, we'll call it: Components
now, lets say, once you have 10 components, you maystackthemand select"assemble"for: A 5 socketed, bio-linked, decorative vest, in colors you cannot select
Lets say, you didn't trade in for the bio linked vest, say you waited till you had 20. Stack and assemble, for a6 socketed bio linked decorative vest in colors you can choose.
Now, lets say you waited till you had 30 components. you may now stack and assemble to create a bio-linked200 use lightsaber powerup, of random quality, but with absolute base and max stats that still make it worthwhile.
At 40 Components, it has 400 use; 50 components, 600 use; 60 components 800.
at 70 components, you may stack and assemble for: a bio-linked lightsaber optional component: The Defensive Emitter.
an optional lightsaber component with the following attributes: +3% lightsaber block, -15 accuracy.
anyway. Things that are usefull should come, but the difficulty or number of steps or time involved in each stepcan be extreme in terms of it's desirability and usefulness. uniqueness tracking, high requirements, high difficulty, randomness are all keys to mitigate abuse, the key is finding the balance between difficulty, tediousness, usability, desirability, and time that makes an item worth abusing for, or worth waiting for.
too drunk to understand all that, cliffnotes version?
Anyway less exploiting of the system is taking place now since they removed names from the terminals, but in the past full templetes didn't care about losing xp, and they could make a couple mil a night..
Of course, pre-cu, you could make near a mil and hour hunting kugnkas and mokks....on top if you got lucky with a decent DOT knife..
