Do you have to be a Melee-Combat characterto become a jedi?

You do not become a jedi in that way. You do something, or something happens and you unlock the ability to create another character that is force sensitive. THAT character can become a jedi, and only that character. You will not be able to turn your Bounty Hunter into a Jedi, because you have to create an entirely different character to make a jedi.

No...no...no!!!! Your primary character becomes a jedi. It takes about 20+weeks of work and 203,181,000 weapon XP
