Thread: What if BHs could offer an Official pay me to drop your mission?

Just wondering what the community would think if BHs could offer you an option to pay them off. Something to the effect of a window that pops up on your screen and says
"*name of bh* has offered to spare you if you pay him *$$$* number of credits. In return he will drop your mission.
If you agreed to pay him off then your vis would lets say either clear or get cut in half (that detail would have to be worked out).
At least this option would give half template jedi's a way to not end up with xp loss and for those that were more advanced the could decline and then go through with a duel. If a BH accepted your bribe then he would receive less money than if he killed you but not much less.
Anyone think this would be cool?
(I realize you can pay some BHs off now but its not an official option and they could still take your money then try and kill you)
For the first time in a while I think I have started a thread that may have some positive thoughts in it!
I like all the ideas listed.
I just thought that here are three possible options to the offer.
A. BH offers to spare your life and the hassle of fighting him. System works something like this.
BH can use /sparelife (or something like this) when he gets within 500m of mark.
This means the least payout for the mission. Say (100k/of possible 300k)
No Jedi XP loss slight viz reduction on terms
B. BH Incaps you then offers to spare your life using the /sparelife.
This means the middle payout. (200k or so/ of possible 300k)
No Jedi XP loss partial viz reduction on terms
C. BH Incaps and deathblows you.
Max payout with some kind of deathblow bonus. (350K of possible 300k)
Jedi XP loss complete viz reset

There would have to be reasonable limits and rules to prevent harrassment. As a BH and Jedi, I would love it. And yes I've hunted ONE Jedi and dropped their mission when they offered a payout.
I had my fun on that one mark, was under cover and knocked her off her swoop. That was a fun surprise. No, I didn't trash the swoop. But she explained she was so close to finishing her new template, and I was only after a surprise fun attack anyways, so I gladly dropped the mission.

I like it except the name of the Bounty Hunter,You would know who your attacker is and the first strike is gone. If it said something like A Bounty Hunter ahs offered to spare your life for $$$$$ that would be cool.

I would have it as an option on incap before deathblow. But of course, a random one before then could work too.

What if I got paid for killing them instead?
Ya know Risk/Reward. BH fails X number of missions in a week and gets on the terminals.
No loss for him, just his pride, his game play time being interupted etc.
Lol, imagine the look on his face as he is engaging a mark and gets jumped by someone else that has his mission.

Now that sounds like a good idea. After all if he fails X amount of times his name will be known by the Jedi as a BH. We should be able to hunt those who hunt us.

I think if they incap you then the bh has the option to payout or DB you....this might bring alittle simple content into the game
