Hello all. Yes, I'm not quite a jedi yet due to the fact that my computer died on me 4 months ago... but, thats another matter. i have been playing for about 2 years and have collected many crystals (sadly only 5 in my main server).
My question is this. Whats the diffrence between the Clear (Power so i hear them called) Crystals and Crystals, stat wise after you tune them. In my first server I'd get at least two a day doing Janta/Mok Shaman missions. But not a single pearl. As far as i can tell from reading all the posts on the Pearl drop rate, and stats given i believe that pearls give higher damage and lower FC. But I'd like this to be confirmed, so i know what to start collecting, as I'm finishing My norm Template while finishing FS.

Clear (white) crystals, when tuned, improve the saber damage/force cost/speed; colored crystals determine ls color and elemental damage type, but are not very important (unless you have a named crystal such as Bane's Heart or Sunrider's Destiny, that add much more elemental dmage than other colored crystals). Pearls work the same as white crystals; they have a higher cap on damage (pearls 120, crystals 110) and only Krayt Dragons drop them.

Ok also from a non jedi but I have read tons of threads on this exact issue (the search funtion is your friend.) From those I have gathered that clear crystals (which you can get off just about any npc) and pearls (which are looted off Krayt dragons) both add the bite to your saber. There is a debate as to whether pearls tune better than crystals do but the general concesus is that pearls are better. No REAL good pearls drop anymore and I would assume crystals either since I haven't seen any.
As for your second post, don't worry about it and you can't delete it.

they tune the same, it all just depends on the quality(which only helps alittle).
if you got them from jantas/mokks pre CU they are only fairs or poors which pretty much means 99.9% of getting a bad tune lol.
one thing that is different is that pearls max damage possiblity is 120 were crystals are only 110.
