yeah, whether there is one or its just a bug for SOME people to not get on the terms for their first week i dont know. Myself and several jedi that i know never had a BH visit in our first week, but on the 8th day sure enough we all got a visit from a BH.

But like other people have said, i too know people that got killed by a BH only a few hours after unlocking. So, I dont think there is an intended "grace period", and even if there is it doesnt seem to work for everyone so you should prob just try not to get any vis. Besides...do you plan on being close to full template in 7 days?

you can't get visabillity before you have a novice box, so if he just unlocked and was grinding towards his first novice box he wouldn't get any vis

Always someone will believe it. When the CU first came out I was in a group that had a fresh unlocked padawan. He decided this was true and and he was free to grind for a week. So he sat within the 32m range and whacked away. Bout 2 hours later he had his first visit and trip to the cloner as a jedi. He screamed and cussed that his grace period was not over and how it was unfair. I tried to explain again that there was no grace period, but alas he still did not believe me. /shrug. Let him learn on his own.... Thats the only way

See I find that odd, when I was grinding I got so much damn vis and I didnt get a visit from a BH til exactly 7 days later.

With a fresh unlock you pretty much got 1 attack. Saber Hit. I bet it doesnt generate much vis and takes about 7 days of grinding to get enough up to get on the terms.

I was hunting in a group last night and a guy joined who had just unlocked. He keptusing his sabernear npc's and ungrouped players so thinking maybe he had never heard of visibilityI politely told him that might not be a good idea. He laughed and said it was alright because he was still in his "grace period" and couldn't gain visibility. I have never heard of such a thing, but I also can't claim to be an authority on it by any means either.

Is there such a thing as a grace period on visibility? If so does anyone know how long it lasts or have any links to discussions about it?

There is no grace period. People used to always say "you get a week of no vis" It's like saying that "If you tune your pearls while there is a full-moon out you get a perfect tune"...
