Some people are pming me and replying that the comment about stepping away from the computer for a few minutes to calm down is something that is inappropriate and would not be done in a face to face retail confrontation.

This is not really a valid argument, because in the "real world" if someone came up to you as an employee and got in your face and started yelling at you and telling you that you sucked, etc, they would simply call security and have you escorted out. We are not trying to silence your thoughts or even dismiss your fustrations, just trying to minimize the anger and rage on the boards.

Wrote a more rational post in Garva's thread, but it's getting lost in a sea of flames. Garva, for the sake of player's sanity...Don't tell them their expressions are invalid. Even if you are correct, it's insulting and one sure-fire way to lose customers quickly.

What Garva is trying to say is SOE doesn't like us as customers, they want us to cancel our accounts and leave. SOE is making that VERY clear with Pub 24.

I just wanted to point out that it was stated that the vote of no confidence was classified as online rage.

It just seems to me that it was a calm, reasonable, and intelligent post. It did not use inappropriate language nor did it have a "loud" tone to it. If this is removed from the forums then I would have to deduce that this is because SOE is embarrassed that it points out the truth in such a dignifying manner which detiorates their position further.

They did not swear, name call, or "raise their voice" so to speak. I ask would this person be "escorted out by security"? Seems to me he has the right to feel a vote of no confidence is necessary and has the right to bring his concerns to the developement team and any other ear that may hear him and result in action.

Just a thought that's all.
