Thread: Curious about power gaps between Jedi

Greetings.
I'm a "newbish" Bounty Hunter.
I've been on about 10-15 jedi hunts.
So far I've only killed one jedi , drew mostly stalemates, and died 3 times.
I am a MBH/MRifles and stopping shot from pistols.
One thing I have noticed between my 10 odd stalemate fights and the 3 deaths is that there are immense differences in damage coming from various jedi.
For example , most of the jedi I have hunted only end up hitting for about 200-300 through my armor.
Others however consistently hit for 700 , up to 1k damage.
I've heard this is because of pre-cu sabers.
So I'm curious, I just started playing after the CU, so could anyone explain to me the major difference in damage I seem to be noticing?
Is it just that these Jedi had lightsabers before the CU, and they are now more powerful orsomething to do with damage crystal
It doesn't seem to be related to a higher payout.
I understand that some peoplehave better sabers , just like some people have better rifles, but these differences are huge.
A curious hunter looking for information.

pre cu/post cu jedi some have alot better damage crystals, a sabers damage is about 20% crafting 80% pearls/crystals so the ones with 100+ damage pearls end up hitting alot harder.

cheer we have a bh that is not a mcm . humm light saber's 300 damage that is about what my light saber hits for .its realy sad and the jedi that's hitting you for 1k damage i bet that smarted .. master light saber can craft the best lightsaber if he has the right stash to craft 1 but the hard part is getting 4 good tunes over 100 min max damage. that is the part im missing a good tune 4X times that is about all there is on that
