To get Jedi to be a starting profession. I mean, when the game launched, Jedi was a complete mystery. They started dropping hints, people were antsy and agitated, and BAM, we get the first Jedi and holocrons. The Hologrind comes along and it become AFK-WARS and all other activity in-game stops aside from the jump-to-grind. After a while of that things die down a bit, we get some new content, BAM! The village quests come along and there's another massive change and a different grind setting. Things boil down, more Jedi, and then this. I think they got bored and skipped a step but they just wanted to make the final leap to having Jedi available to everyone.
I think the one thing that I'll miss is the mystery of Jedi. Back in the early days and even in the times of hologrind it was such a feat, and everyone just went "WOW!" when they actually saw the Jedis. Powergrinders or not, they commanded quite an amount of awe and respect. I'll miss those times. It gave a friend and me the incentive to play and achieve something akin to legendary status. With the complete system change, Jedi will just be like anything else -- and if it was like that when I first started playing, I don't think I'd go for it.
I won't complain, I probably won't play anymore (only 1 month left anyhow), but I'll still miss that feeling if nothing else.
To the Jedis that unlocked in the times of the Holocron...
I salute you. Your journey was one of utmost difficulty that I went through as well. Good luck in the future. /salute
To the Jedis that unlocked in the times of the Village...
I salute you. You had to journey back to that god forsaken place endlessly just to convert what was just a drop in the bottle. Good luck in the future. /salute
To the Jedis that unlocked before the Combat Upgrade (Village, Holocron)...
I salute you one last time. You endured many game changes. Good luck in the future. /salute
To the Jedis that unlocked post-CU...
I salute you. You truly haven't experienced the best (or worst) of times but you still have a sense of things. Good luck in the future. /salute
To the Bounty Hunters that kill Jedi on a daily basis...
I salute you. I do. I understand what you do, you kept Jedi on their toes, and even when we were knocked down and torn from the experience loss you gave us something to fear, and something to look forward to as the target of our lightsabers. Good luck in the future. /salute
To all other Professions...
I salute you. You went through all of this stuff like the rest of us and were extremely neglected toward the later parts of the game during all of these [terrible] revisions. Good luck in the future. /salute
To Droid Engineers...
I salute you. You've never received any love since Day 1. Droid Engineers forever! (My first profession). I'm not sure you guys did it, but I made sure to have a lot of alcohol on hand. Good luck in the future. /salute
And that's what I've had to get out. I rarely post on these boards, but this was necessary.
