I looted 8 good kryat pearls all off kryat dragons (the Giant canyon & Juvenile canyon) in a four hour kryat killing spree.

Kill level 111 npcs, on dantooine to get Quality crystals, the highest that currently drop. They are easy to solo or kite, and are found at a spawn right outside of mo in the island in the water or they spawn mostly along the northern server boundary line. Personally i think you would be better off buying prems from people selling them though. There is a very very very slim chance you will geta good saber off anything that drops now.

Last night i spent around 2 hours killing corsairs non-stop at the poi and ended up with 5 crystals all rated fair.

4 tuned to crap but the 5th tuned to 102 damage, fc was only -3, but still an improvement over what i had.

Exactly my thinking... why spend 2 hours huntining nightsisters or krayts to get 1, maybe 2 crystals or pearls that will most likely tune to crap anyway, when i could get far more at the poi, knowing most will tune to crap but there will the occasional one with good stats.

also at FOrce crystal cave... drops are not as often as corsair... but you also get that great uber CDEF pistol in there like the super gloves the corsairs give

no really FOrce crystal cave does drop "good" crystals once ina while and ho9locrons taht Jedi need as well ....

but for just all crystals you r best bet is the corsair poi cause of the respawn rate is nice even if 1 or 2 ppl all ready there

just remmebr if your a lower level paddy then yu get much vis here...use a alt or stock up before you unlock either way..

on intrepid a guy set a small hous there and even sells them pretty cheap ...like 2k a color and 50k a clear... not bad if your in the money and don't want vis

Id persoanl rather hunt and loot then buy .....but Im full temp and can hold my own Vs BH and not worried about XP loss even if i do get killed

It was quite the experience grinding up a toon from the ground up after being a maxed out combat character since just after the CU went live when I unlocked.

There is a serious problem with "CL bias" out there, and really, it need not be so for things as mundane as bol grinding groups on Dantooine. I can see insisting upon nothing but level 80s for the Necrosis, the Avatar platform, or the DWB, but bols? I mean, really, so the XP comes a bit slower than with all level 80s, but get real, people. We were all n00bs once...and will be n00bs again.

But, yeah, use the alt to do the grunt work of looting various mobs for crystals and pearls. Your PA probably organizes krayt hunts whose specific purpose is to look for high end loot to support the PA's Jedi, weaponsmiths and, it seems, smugglers, as krayts seem to have something of an appetite for them given all the smuggler loot I've seen taken out of krayt gizzards. The alts usually do the work, not the glowstick people.
