Thread: Death of my Newly Born Paddy...
i dont care if this is necro posting i followed a sig here
dudes the guy actually WANTS to play a proper Jedi one that doesnt let himself known to the community he grinds alone granted the xp nerf was reversed after lots of whining BUT WE MOANED ABOUT THE CURB AS WELL!! SOE dont give a **edit** about its player base. As for the post above me he is working for it and since he still PAYS he has a right to moan about everything and anything about this game.
So why dont you n00b Jedi who grind on dant and get full template in 2 weeks back the **edit** off and leave the paddy alone half of the player base is Jedi and most of them are paddy's im not thankful to see a Jedi anymore now im thankful to see a knight
LuckyEMS
Never tried Jedi in his 9 months in the game

Fight in groups.
I've gained over 400k xp so far in the CU and I only started it with LS 0-1-0-0 and all the novice boxes.
Yes I will be on the terminals soon, yes BHers will come, but at the moment I'm working as fast as I can to mitigate the risk of dying to bher.
Having to worry about BHers has actually added to the play experience for me... talk about tense
You only have to hit a mob once in a group to get full xp, at the moment I'm getting about 1k xp per mob for one hit ( my main role in the group is healer now I have 2-0-0-0 healer).
Take a chance, and take care!

It's obvious you are unhappy with the CURB, and understandably so, but do me a favor. If you've cancelled your account, then please just leave the game/forums. It's bad enough reading all the negative comments from all the current players that we don't need to clutter up the forums with your ranting. The system is new, the system is bugged, agreed. Either deal with it and add some constructive comments, or move on and leave knowing you accomplished something others are still striving towards.
I'm sorry you're disappointed with the way the game went (as am I), and I'm sorry you've cancelled your account (as have MANY others). Good luck with your future gaming endeavors.
I would recommend to keep the "noob" paddy template indoors and play with your alt until things get fixed some and we can hunt again.
I am a noob paddy, but I gave a MBH/Commando a run for his money, down to who ever laid the next hit in kind of a battle. I am worth 136k on the Terms. If you are worth 100k or less, you might want to take a Jedi breather and not use him/her. Now I sit in my house and wait for a red dot, lol.
I love the complaining, so please continue. I hate SOE and Lucas Arts with every fiber of my being, and when I see how angry everyone is, it makes me feel better.
Anyway. I am in the same boat as the original poster - no jedi skills. This is the workable solution that I see (I don't buy the group stuff):
Drop your CL way down to 21 or 22 (you can pick most novice boxes of the elite professions if you want, just don't train any of the other tiers). Get a good pre-nerf / pre-CU or whatever we call this flaming piece of trash CL 10 pet. Pull 20-24 level missions from terminals and fight away. You will want buffs, synthsteak, food, etc. because your pet will take lots of damage. I get about 5-6k of xp every 2 hours. It is truly aweful and makes me hate everything and everyone even more, so I'll continue to do it until I get to 20k and get my first jedi box.

Just a week ago I ended my paddy trials.
I geared my robe and lightsaber and told myself - "I can now play in peace, after my many months struggle to get here, HERE I AM - I AM NOW a Paddy!"
... So few days ago I hit Espa and started grinding for my 20k jedi xp to get novice. I did ok getting 200-400 xp per kill from womprats and squills. IN about 3 hours that night ( my first night ever playing with my Glowstick ) I got about 8k jedi xp.
Tonight I went back to do the same thing... I enganged with a mutant womp rat and I didnt swing but 10-15 times before all my force was gone. I had only took its life down by 10% before my force was drained.
Then once my force was gone, I was just standing there getting hit whileI was re-generating my lost forceat 1 per tick.
Each swing I took at the critter was -17 force. I would then wait, get hit 20-40 times before I could re-generate force to swing once again beacause the force regen rate is so slow.
I had no choice but to retreat.
I attempted to fight lower level mobs, way lower, and I recieved no xp at all.
My Newly Born paddy is now Dead.
I think I will be moving on till this is fixed.
Unbelievable that you are bitching when you can master LS in a week now grinding in groups. My first box of LS took a dang week once I got novice, 200-300 xp per kill and it was a b*tch. You get full xp now based on char level and not your jedi lvl, you suffer no exp loss from dying PvE, only BH attacks and you can gain xp at amazing rates.
You should move on because you obviously don't realize just how easy you have it.

It's kind of sad really. There's so many things working against each other with the system the developers have created and after 2 full years it's getting worse. lol.
I have taken full advantage of the double XP and I have leved my Jedi up some. I can withstand some battle at least now.
The Problem is the game still doesnt feel the same it was before. It is nearly still impossible for me to get used to all the current CU changes even after playing for weeks now.
I am currently using my SWG time to now play battlefield 2. We will see if any excitement stirs up for me to log back into this dusty old account.
