how do I board the falcon... it tells me to run up the ramp but it keeps saying it even though I'm on the ramp.

Its from server lag, just stand there for about a hour and it should put yu on the ship. if not, you're stuck in the tutorial so promptly exit the game and pray you can get back in before the server is full.
