You know why jedi were originally harder to obtain????

To keep out all the trash and kiddies that clog up this forum today. Now that more than half of all players are full-template jedi, they spam thread after thread about how they killed a bh, how a bh killed them on Mustafar, please turn off xp loss completely, etc. On top of that they flame the correspondent because they are terrible at pvp or feel it's somehow his fault. He cannot help you to get better at this game. The developers of SWG do whatever they wish regardless of how the playerbase feels. The game is designed to keep you paying for as long as possible.

Am I an idiot for stil having an active account? You bet I am, as I wait to see if the FRS will return. As soon as this gamecard runs out though, that's it until there is actually a point to playing the game again for me. There are too many other good games out there atm to keep paying for this one, F.E.A.R., BF2, etc.

Bottom line is: the jedi experience will never be the same, so if you want to call out a bh that murdered you, brag about the bh you slaughtered, please keep it to your own galaxy forum so that you can feel e-tuff or e-tiny in your respected galaxy. The correspondent is here to answer any questions for you about jedi or report a bug to the developers, so no point to make thread after thread with , "Bac, where are you?", "Bac, I have no faith in you", "Bac, I cannot kill a bh." BTW, for all of you that are not aware, the developers do not read the public forums, so you can stop with the "Plea to the devs" threads as well. Good day!

It may seem like there are many different responses to why you won/lost to a bh, but they can be easily generalized into a few categories.

1. Experience with PVP:

It does not matter whether it is jedi or non-jedi pvp as the most successful pvpers understand the underlying game mechanics. Do you know why most of the old jedi were good, not because of the crazy mods to force armor? It was because they knew the game well as a whole, which professions had which attacks, and who their top enemies were (DOTS/skill/little of both).

2. Foods/Stomach Management:

If you do not have appropriate foods already out in your inventory or better yet hotkeyed, then you are already losing. It pays to manage your stomach well during long fights or short duels. Better players are going to take advantage of the foods that you take now that each food has an icon. Stimpacks and ruby bliel fall into this category as well.

3. Equipment:

Yeah I understand if you are new to jedi and are not extremely rich you will be at a disadvantage, but let me ask you this: Before the CU, there was about 6 months of a krayt population boom, if you ever had the desire to become a jedi you should have been farming those pearls and farming nightsisters for crystals for yourself. As far as non-jedi, with caps in place on weapons and armor, it is quite easy for you to have capped armor/weapons.

Those are the three main categories to why you win/lose a bh encounter. Now of course you can always be unlucky and be tanking a mob that is hammering you or dueling in a public area, but that is part of being a jedi and you need to deal with it. Making thread after thread about how BH/CM is overpowered is completely ridiculous.
